Mirrors come in all shapes and sizes, but let's define what you need. On our site you can find and view photos with examples of different designs. We made a small instruction, with which you can make the right choice and purchase a quality purchase.
- Determine with the size. If you have a small bathroom, a large mirror is useless. The reverse situation is when the bath is spacious. In that case, you can experiment with both huge dimensions and with a few small ones.
- We measure the height and width of the area on which the installation will be performed. When we have determined the place for the future purchase, we measure it with the help of roulette. A very important point: in the calculation take also an error of a few centimeters. This will allow you to view and ask the price for various sizes and shapes.
- Choose the mirror style. Here everything depends on your imagination and bathroom design. Before buying, look at a few photos to see which direction to look for. Think about whether you need a backlight, a shelf for accessories and what form will look exactly in your bathroom. For example, in a classic bathroom, a product of unusual shape with a colorful border will look inappropriate.
- We check the quality of the goods. The most important property of a good mirror product for a bathroom is its moisture resistance. Also, be sure to check its integrity. It should not have bulges, scratches or other mechanical damage.
Now that the choice is made, proceed to installation.
How to install a mirror yourself
You can install the installation yourself in several ways.
- Installation on tile adhesive.
Suitable if you decide to install a mirror at the level of the tile. To do this, gently tear down the necessary tiles( be careful not to damage neighboring ones).Align and pad the treated area. Next, you need to glue the bottom and top curb. After that, on the wall, using a notched trowel, apply a thick adhesive. Carefully attach the bottom of the mirror to the wall. Once it has become stable and smooth, fully apply it and hold it for 15 seconds to fix it. - Installation with double-sided adhesive tape.
Be sure to clean and degrease the surface of the tile. Take an adhesive tape and paste vertical stripes on the product( you can also paste squares around the perimeter, but this is not the most reliable method).Remove the protective film from the strips, attach the mirror to the wall and press it. This option is suitable only for small mirrors. - Installation using screws.
For this installation, buy a mirror that already has holes for fastening, otherwise you will have to do it yourself using diamond drills. There is a great risk that the product may burst, so this job is not easy and safe. Drill holes in the wall, insert plastic dowels in them and with screws, screw the mirror to the desired place.
That's all. We hope, our advice will help you make the right choice. Successful purchase and easy installation!
