Laminate as a finishing material has long won a leading position among other building materials - and this contributed to its excellent quality. Laminate has a long service life, has an elegant appearance, a variety of colors for every taste. In a room finished with laminate, cleaning is a pleasure. And probably, the most important thing that attracts buyers in it is the simplicity of finishing the room with this material. Laying a laminate does not present any complexity, even for an inexperienced person in construction issues, but still it is necessary to comply with some simple rules.
Sequence and correct laying of laminate
First you need to prepare the necessary tools and accessories, they need not much. You will need a hacksaw with small denticles( preferably an electric jigsaw), a tape measure, a wooden hammer( hammer), a clamp, spacer wedges. You should also take care of the film for the vapor barrier and the sound-absorbing substrate. Maybe you need an electric drill.
Before proceeding directly to laying the laminate, you must first lay the substrate to create a soundproofing, and put a vapor barrier layer on top. The film will protect the laminate floor from moisture.
The main part of the work begins with the laying of the first plate. On the basis of how correctly it will be laid, the look of the whole sex depends. The gap between the plate and the wall should be the same along the entire length of the plate( approximately 8 mm).In this gap set "wedges".They will prevent the plates from moving. The second function is to prevent bending of the plates when the laminate is deformed when exposed to moisture or temperature.
The remaining plates in turn are connected "in the butt" to each other. Similarly, the second and subsequent rows are laid. Here it is necessary to pay attention to the correctness of joining plates not only of one row, but also of different rows with each other( in other words, the joint must be good from all sides).You can make packing already ready-made rows, but here you can not do without an assistant.
