The advantage of the corrugated pipe is that it has a small cross-section and good elasticity, so we recommend it for electrical installation works.
Wire pulling options
Depending on how the GCR sheets are attached to the wall, the mounting method is selected. To date, gypsum cardboard can be attached to a special structure of profiles, or do without a frame, independently planting sheets on the glue. The second option is used extremely rarely and only if the walls in the house are almost perfectly flat. Most often it is customary to mount GKL sheets on a specially prepared frame, so the installation instructions for wiring under gypsum boards will be provided for this option.

Step 1 - Preparatory work of
To begin with, it is necessary to assemble the structure from profiles, but do not rush the frame with GKL sheets, becausethis will be done at the very end of electrical work. At the stage of the preparatory work, you must determine how the wiring will be done: on the ceiling or on the walls. If a suspended or suspended ceiling is created in the rooms, it is easier and more reasonable to conduct the wires over the ceiling and lower them to the "electrical points" in the right places( strictly vertically).If only the walls are drywall, and the ceiling itself remains concrete or wooden, then the wire must be pulled along the walls at a level of 10-15 cm from the ceiling. Given this nuance, you must draw a wiring diagram, on which to note the exact locations of all points: sockets, switches, junction boxes. After that, you need to transfer the scheme to the walls, as shown in the photo below, and proceed to the calculation of materials and directly to the installation.
From the materials you will need:
- Conductor of suitable cross-section. It is better to use incombustible VVGGG cable, which is suitable, even if you decide to conduct wiring under gypsum board in a wooden house with your own hands. - Corrugated pipe, the cross-section of which is selected by the cross-section of the selected cable.
- Clips for fastening corrugations.
- Dowel nails for mounting the clips themselves.
- Junction boxes made of non-flammable material.
- Sockets and switches.
- Special pads for drywall.
- WAGO terminal blocks for connecting wires.
From the tools you will need a drill with a special cutter for stitching GKL sheets. The diameter of the cutter should be 65 mm, so that the receptacles reliably sit in the stitches.
Step 2 - Installing the junction box
The first step is to install the junction boxes in each room on the basis of the electrical circuit. Doing this is not difficult, just attach the products to the wall or ceiling using screws, as shown in the photo below:
Step 3 - Laying of the
wiring After all the materials and tools have been prepared, you can go directly to the installation of the wiring under the plasterboard with your own hands. To do this, first fix the clips on the marked walls. The distance between the clips should be from 30 to 40 cm. Instead of clips, you can also use plastic clips. In this case, the wiring will be made faster, but there is a possibility that the corrugation will damage the sharp ends of the metal profile. In order to pull the corrugated pipe through the frame from the profiles, it is necessary to drill holes of a suitable diameter in advance or simply buy profiles that already have special holes for the wiring.
All you need to do when installing wiring under gipsokarton own hands - carefully draw the cable from the distribution boxes to future outlets and switches. Doing this is not difficult, the main thing is to remember where exactly the end of the lead wire will be located, sincethe next thing you need to do is to sew the wall with plasterboard.
Step 4 - Connection of sockets and switches
Well, the last stage when laying wiring under GKL sheets is the installation and connection of sockets with switches themselves. You need to use a drill with a special nozzle yourself to patch holes in the gypsum cardboard under the installation of podrozetnikov according to the scheme. If you have correctly calculated all, after the stamping of the sheet, the lead wire will be in the right place. The installation of podzroetnikov in gypsum cardboard does not represent anything complicated. First you have to cut out holes in the bottom of the wiring harness, then pull the wire out and insert the sprocket into the prepared bar( see photo below).To the right and to the left are the screws, which you must tighten until the special presser feet secure the housing in the strob. What if the repair is already done?
Sometimes it happens that the sheets are already installed GKL and there is a need to add another outlet or switch under the plasterboard. In order not to dismantle the gypsum, you can proceed as follows:
- Take the thread with a heavy nut.
- Make a round shtroba in the place of installation of the future outlet / switch.
- From the naked ceiling( if it is not yet protected with gypsum or stretched film), the thread is lowered over the new stroke. The nut serving as a weights should drop to the level of the hole made.
- Attach the cable to the upper end of the thread using an electrical tape.
- The thread extends from the bottom until the electrical conductor has come out.
It's very simple, so if you need to hide the wiring under GCR sheets, we recommend using this technology. By the way, if you decided to make a drywall partition in the house, then for the convenience of installation, you first need to "sew" one of the walls with sheets, and then proceed to laying electrical wiring!
