Properties of glass mills
- Differ high strength and durability. Their service life with the correct gluing technology is about 30 years. Often they are used in seismically unstable regions, since the reinforcing fibers that make up the structure fix small cracks and do not allow the seams to "disperse".
- Made from 100% natural materials( soda, quartz sand, dolomite, special glass). This ensures that there is no possibility of creating a nutrient medium for parasites and microorganisms. And also provides an environmentally friendly microclimate.
- Excellent fire resistance characteristics with toxicity index T1 and combustibility G1.When a fire does not burn and secrete harmful substances harmful to humans.
- Easy to operate and easy to clean. In addition, this material does not attract dust and accumulates static electricity, again due to the use of natural components.
Unlike conventional wallpaper, glass plywood can be glued to any surface. And it does not matter whether the base is made of metal, wood, concrete or plastic. Even in old buildings they use them as a cover. Joints and cracks in this case are completely safe, thanks to the reinforcing properties of the material. In addition, the glass yarn is not sensitive to moisture and is chemically neutral.
Classification of glass walls
The cost of glass mills directly depends on the class. Each class has these or other characteristics. For example, there are glass mosaic 1-st grade( "full-bodied"), 2nd grade( non-standard) and economy class. The first have a density of more than 100 grams per m2, they are the ones that meet the high performance for durability.
The second grade differs from the first one in that there can often come across a marriage( picture, hole, thread hanging).Although some "experts" say that the difference is only in the packaging. Believe it is not necessary. Well, the last, economy class have a density of less than 100 grams per m2.Of course, there is no question of any longevity in this form.
Pasting walls with fiberglass wallpaper
At the initial stage, a surface is prepared. With it, the old wallpaper, paint, dust and dirt are removed. Cracked cracks are chipped, the base is leveled. Further, the walls are primed, and special primers such as EK-G100, 200, Ceresit or an adhesive compound( the best adhesive for Nortex wallpaper) can be used. Next, we cut the length of a wall equal to the height of the wall plus 10 centimeters.
Wall wallpapering begins with glue application on the primed surface. Apply the first cloth with a plumb line. The remaining cloths are glued by a "butt" method and smoothed with a rubber roller or spatula. The remains of the wallpaper from the skirting boards are cut with a special knife. After drying, the wallpaper is painted. We recommend staining in 2 layers.
Pasting the ceiling with fiberglass wallpaper
Often the question arises - how to glue the wallpaper on the ceiling? The process is largely identical. To begin with, a surface is also prepared. Removes whitewash, paint, wallpaper and any other coating. Dust and dirt are eliminated. That is, the substrate must be clean, dry and even before application. The porous surface is additionally primed with special compounds.
Further weave the length of the same length of the ceilings and add 5 centimeters. If you want to combine the pattern, then in each next strip it is shifted to half the pattern. After gluing the wallpaper, the remnants are cut off. The surface in the process is carefully smoothed with a rubber roller or spatula.
