Modern technologies allow to combine this material with others in various variations, since wooden products do not always meet the requirements for strength and reliability. That is why the skeletons for stairs were made to be metal, because they are more durable and resistant to mechanical damage and heavy loads. However, to smooth out the roughness they are lined with different facing materials, including wood.
Before proceeding to the lining of the stairs with your own hands, you need to determine the grade of wood that will be used. It can be both expensive materials, and low-budget.
Most often, the following types of trees are used for these purposes:
- Oak is the most durable and durable, but also the most expensive material, which eventually becomes only more reliable and nobler;
- Ash - has high wear resistance and strength;
- Beech - strength characteristics approximate its value to the oak;
- Teak, wenge, etc.- these breeds of foreign origin are popular due to their exceptional color qualities;
- Pine and fir - do not have sufficient strength, therefore they are used more as a decorative finish.
In this case, all wood should be well drained, do not have external damages, cracks and before use must be treated with an antiseptic that prevents its decay.
In addition to the lining wood, you will also need a certain set of tools:
- Drill with metal drills;
- Hammer and nails;

- Rubber hammer;

- Ruler, construction level, pencil or marker;
- Joiner's tools.
