In addition to the fact that the acrylic sealant is able to protect the wood from micro-biological lesions and restore heat insulation, it can also brighten up irregularities on the surface. Most of the proposed products can seal not only stable cracks and seams( which do not lend themselves to tensile stresses), but also unstable. An unstable seam is the place of joining between logs, masonry and a window and building elements. It can also be used to seal facades, windows, and door frames.

Instruction for use

List of tools:

• Acrylic sealant.
• Scotch paint.
• Water.
• Spatula.
• Sealant gun.

1. First you need to measure the size of the seam. The minimum cross-section is 3х5 mm.
2. Painting tapes need to protect the face of the edge, you need to do this on both sides and very carefully. If necessary, it is better to smooth it. Allow the emptiness between tape and bursky can not.
3. To avoid problems with the need for re-priming, you must observe the correct proportions of the mixture from water and sealant, usually 1: 1, but you can also 1: 2.You can also use a special primer for these purposes, but you need to do this very carefully, since after drying the film is not removed. Therefore, it must not be allowed to enter a surface that is not intended to be sealed. After application, allow it to dry.
4. If the depth of the seam is greater than the one set( which is common), it is necessary to make a lining of the additional profile. It can be a hollow tube made of polystyrene or an ordinary cord. Profile should be 25% compressed, you can not use open objects.
5. Carefully open the sealant. For this, a part of its tip is cut off. After that, you need to insert the cylinder into the gun for the sealant.



6. The tip of the nozzle from the gun is cut at an angle, which is most convenient for work. There are no recommendations. Carefully insert the nozzle into the gun. Most often these nozzles are very thin, which simplifies the process.
7. The wood sealant must be applied carefully to the surface. Bubbles, loose seams and emptiness are unacceptable.
8. Gradually, when applying the sealant, you need to make sure that it is tight and securely in contact with the seam. The use of smoothing agents can cause wet stains, they need to be cleaned immediately, otherwise later, when they are withered, this will be problematic. Modern detergents have an aggressive chemical composition, so it is better to abandon them. Also, the smoothing agent should not fall into those seam areas that have not yet been processed.



9. Wet the spatula in water and shape it in accordance with the seam, and also remove excess sealant. If there is no spatula, for this purpose you can use a teaspoonful or a tablespoon, also moistened in water.
10. The last step is to remove the paint tape from the surface. The sealer freezes for about 10 minutes.

Remove the sealant from the tools will not be difficult. Do it better in soapy water immediately upon completion of work. If the moment is missed - then mechanically.
