Then, after the glue is applied, wait for about a few minutes, after which you can start applying veneer sheets;
- After applying veneer on the base, the stage of its smoothing follows, for which a moistened rag is used;
- Then proceed to grinding, while the iron or the lapping hammer must be heated for this purpose to reach a temperature of about 150-200 degrees. This will allow the glue to warm up during the grinding process and re-pick up the adhesive.
Lapping of the veneer is from the middle to the edge along the fibers.
Do not forget that lapping should rule out the presence of remaining air or excess glue, and it must be carried out until the veneer sheets are finally glued.
