Installation of slate starts with the preparation of the roof

Accurate technology of laying the roof
Before embarking on the roofing, it is necessary to determine what to strengthen the slate. Typically, for such purposes use special nails with wide hats, but in some cases it is better to use screws for slate, which are more securely sitting in the tree.
Important! It is better to spend a little more money on the purchase of screws, than to rework the roof in 5-6 years.
So, the correct laying of the roof is done in the direction opposite to reading( from right to left).It is worth remembering the wind. The installation of the sheets must take into account the location of the edge precisely on the side with which the wind most often blows. Do not forget that the holes for the consumable material must be drilled before laying, so that the nail does not split the sheet of roofing material. In addition, under the hood of the fastening element, it is necessary to put an elastic band to prevent the roof from flowing.
