Construction materials

Cast iron

The cast-iron floor toilet bowls have one undoubted advantage - their service life is incredibly long. They stand in public toilets for decades and do not fail. Cast-iron bowls of Genoa are the most durable, the most inexpensive, but also the heaviest - they weigh about 15 kg, which greatly complicates their transportation and installation.

Ceramic

By their characteristics, they are very similar: they are combined aesthetic appearance, light weight, instability to mechanical damage and exacting requirements for cleaners. However, when choosing between these two materials( by the way, at the price is also approximately the same), experts in the field of sanitary equipment are advised to give preference to sanfarfor, as it is more resistant to smells and pollution.

Steel

Floor toilet bowls made of this material have been manufactured for a long time. To the virtues of steel bowls, Genoa is considered to be undemanding in care and strength. In addition, steel absorbs bad odors well. The disadvantages of such toilet bowls are serious enough: they cost more than their cast iron and metal counterparts and, moreover, do not completely absorb the sound of running water, so in the course of their operation a rather unpleasant soundtrack arises.
