Any garage without a shelf is only a place to store the car. And the latter needs daily care and regular maintenance. Therefore, in the garage there must be appropriate tools, materials, rags.
For convenient storage and use, the rack is best suited. It is most convenient to make it yourself, as the size of the garages and the cars in them are different.
When equipping the rack, it is necessary to provide:
- so that it does not take up much space and does not interfere with the work if the machine is inside;
- storage of not only tools, but also spare parts, small parts of fasteners, tanks with greases, etc.;
- possibility of installation of a vice, an electric drive;
- availability of a table for repair work.
Based on these criteria, the installation site and the rack design are selected. As a rule, good racks are made in one of two variants. However, they have common elements.
The table, on each side of which there are two drawers with drawers. You can make a table and one-punch. In this case under it on one side there will be enough space for jerricans or other large containers. Instead of boxes in the cabinets you can equip the shelves. If you make a table without thumbs, you will lose a lot of "useful" place. And to keep everything under the table, in a common heap, is extremely inconvenient.
Shelves - it is in their arrangement and the difference of designs. Often do shelves, the width of which decreases with the height of the arrangement. This is convenient because up to the top, the narrowest, it is easy to reach. It is usually stored jars with fuel, cogs, gadgets, etc.
But there is another design, the uppermost shelf is wider, according to the size of the table. It is almost under the ceiling and does not interfere with the work. On such a shelf it is convenient to store items that are used either in a certain season, or very rarely. For example, fishing accessories, a rubber boat, a garden sprayer. All such things are often stored in corners and constantly interfere. Even extra empty cans for conservation, cans with paint can be removed there.
The rear wall of the rack is absolutely necessary. Firstly, if it is strong, then it can be installed "control panel": a light switch in the cellar, an automatic guard for the emery, a socket( connect the electric drill, battery charger).Secondly, the wall will exclude the hit of various small details at the table. If there is no possibility to make it along the whole length of the table, then it is possible to make a small one, for example, from plywood or chipboard. And the rest of the wall is covered with a sheet of fiberboard or ordinary plywood.
As shelves usually used or boards, or sheets of chipboard, which are stacked on the pre-assembled frame. If the length of the rack is relatively large, then you need to think about additional shelves for the shelves. This will increase their "carrying capacity".
