Bosch perforators are considered to be the best in their segment of power tools. But there is nothing eternal.

If your Bosch 2-20, 2-24, 2-26 puncher stops working, you can repair it with your own hands. You must have elementary skills as a fitter and have a little knowledge of electrical engineering.
And another important detail, the design of the Bosch perforators is so simple that it does not cause any difficulties in the repair.

Disassembly of quick-release cartridge

In Bosch perforators, two types of cartridges are most often used: SDS-plus cartridges and SDS-max cartridges. The difference between them in principle is the clamping of the tail of the operating organ.

The Bosch drill chuck device is distinguished by the design of the tool's mounting rods depending on the model SDS-plus or SDS-max. In addition to these types of cartridges, there are cartridges SDS-top, SDS-quick.

Order of disassembly of the gun cartridge Bosch 2-26 simple:

• remove the retaining ring pos.87;
• remove the steel washer pos. 833;
• remove the conical spring pos.833;

SDS-plus cartridges were developed specifically for drilling tools. The diameter of the tool shanks is 10 mm, the length of the tool in the range 110. .. 1000 mm. The diameter of the drills lies in the range 4. .. 26 mm.

How to remove the mode switch

Put the punch unit to one side, remove the mode switch pos.832.

First turn the switch to the "Drilling" position, with a screwdriver, push it all the way to the end of the switch button( it's red) and turn the switch counterclockwise to an angle of 70º.

Wiggle the switch handle, pull the switch handle out of the housing.

Dismantling the impactor assembly

Place the Bosch 2-26 rotary hammer vertically on the handle, unscrew the four screws from position 90 holding the housing cover of the mechanical assembly.

Push the end of the impactor shaft and remove the cover. The plastic cover is black.

Now you need to remove the barrel pos. 821 and the intermediate shaft pos. 826.They are not fixed.

Then use a screwdriver to remove the bracket pos. 48 of the rolling bearing pos.830.By the way, in a simple way it is called a "drunken bearing".Sequentially removed: the sleeve posture 26 and "drunk bearing".

Dismantling of the hinge assembly of the hammer

• disassembly of the Bosch hammer drill unit from the cavity side, taking out the cylinder pos. 26 with the hammer pos.27;

• from the shaft side of the cartridge, remove the circlip pos. 83, the steel ring pos. 38 and another retaining ring pos.85;
• remove the spur gear from pos.22.

Dismantling of the cylinder

Inside the cylinder, a striker is inserted in pos. 27, from which it is necessary to remove the rubber ring pos.73.At any dismantling, rubber parts are subject to replacement without fail.

At the opposite end of the cylinder is inserted the hinge pos. 29 and two flat washers pos.

Intermediate shaft disassembly

The intermediate shaft is disassembled by removing the shaft pos. 24 and pulling out of the body pos.77 "drunk bearing".

Bearings are removed by pullers or manually, using a tool.

Uncharacteristic malfunction of the Bosch perforator

Bosch perforators are very reliable. But there are malfunctions, practically not encountered in practice. Below is one of them.

Hammer drill Bosch drills, but does not hollow

If the puncher has stopped hammering, but still allows drilling, the most likely cause may be the destruction of the "drunken bearing".This malfunction is not common and it is not easy to find it.

To fix it, do not go to the repair shop. Such a malfunction will be eliminated by anyone who is more or less knowledgeable in mechanics.

First you need to disassemble the Bosch punch before the intermediate shaft. The disassembly procedure is given above.

Removing the intermediate shaft, you will reach the "drunken bearing".On the destruction of the rolling element bearing indicates a broken cage, scattered balls, pieces of cage.

Remove the bearing, remove dirt, all parts of the destroyed mechanism.

Buy a new "drunken bearing", and, greasing all parts with new grease, make a replacement and assembly, in a sequence, reverse the steps of the disassembly.

Dismantling the electrical part of the Bosch 2-26 gun

The disassembly of the Bosch 2-26 rotary hammer, its electrical part, begins with the removal of the back cover on the handle of the punch, removing the three screws.

The next step is to remove the reverse switch.

Turn it to neutral and lift it by yourself. The reverse switch is removed.

To remove the stator cover, hold the mechanical unit in the right hand, and in the left stator housing, pull them in different directions, shaking.

The stator cover separates.

To separate the rotor from the mechanical unit it is sufficient to drag these parts in different directions. The rotor is mounted in the mechanical assembly with a small helical gear, which is inserted into contact with the large helical gear of the mechanical unit.

The rotor is released and you can carefully inspect the condition of the collector, bearings.

To remove the stator, it is enough to remove the protective plastic protective cover, and knock with a wooden blank or kiyankoy along the end face of the housing into which the stator is inserted. Before this, do not forget to unscrew the two screws holding the stator in the casing.

The stator is removed, the rotor is pulled out, it is possible to overstep the inspection and defect of all the parts that make up the electrical part of the Bosch perforator.

When inspecting the disassembled perforator Bosch 2-26, pay special attention to the state of the carbon brushes, the impact on the brush holders and the reliability of their fastening, the integrity of the reverse switch contacts, the condition of the wire at the entrance to the punch.

The length of the brushes should not be shorter than 8 mm. On the brush holders there should be no signs of sparking and charcoal dust from the brushes, there should be no burn-out or damage to the contacts on the contacts of the reverser switch of the Bosch 2-26 perforator.
