In fact, bath of cinder blocks with their own hands will not be very different from the wooden options, wisely warming the building, you can get an excellent room.
The material can be compared with the popular silicate brick, from which today most of the country houses are built. Slag concrete, being one of its varieties, is not similar to silicate brick, however its operational and physical properties make the material an excellent alternative to an expensive tree.
But, singing an ode to this innovative material, do not forget about some of its shortcomings. It does not retain sound and heat, so you will have to think carefully about isolation. Also, it will require a good finish, as it easily becomes unusable from the effects of climate. And, of course, do not forget that the slag can be different, so it's advisable to ask what your brick was made of, it can be harmful to humans.
What to take care of before construction?
Excellent thermal insulation properties - one of the main advantages of slag concrete, thanks to its honeycomb structure, the material has a low weight, is well transported and practically does not change its size and shape even under severe mechanical damages.
After the construction of the building the only thing that will need to be done is to think over the question of how to insulate the bath from the cinder block. The cinderblock laying is made as well as brickwork, with the displacement of each successive row. After every second row, do not hesitate to introduce reinforcement into the masonry. So the walls will become stronger and harder, you can use a metal mesh to strengthen them. The final stage of construction will be a roof, from which your wall should also be separated by waterproofing.
During the construction phase, the insulation of the bath from the cinder block is not considered, but some designers prefer to take care of the heat indoors in advance and after the walls are coated with a special solution.
