The sink, which is installed above the washing machine, has long been not a novelty, but its real merits are appreciated only now. Today, more and more people are thinking about how to organize the space in the bathroom in a new way, making the room more ergonomic. And this means that it's time to get rid of the old, dysfunctional and bulky plumbing and look at more modern and elegant models.

The water lily shell is a sample of how you can rationally use the space in the bathroom. This design is simply created for small bathrooms, which in our homes are still the majority. Even in the closest bathroom you can find a place to install such a sink, thereby saving the kitchen area from piling up excess household appliances.

• The main advantage of the shell-water lily is that with its help you can release in the bathroom area that would be occupied by a washing machine. This free space can be used to install other plumbing fixtures or furniture, for example, a bidet, a small shower cubicle or a cabinet for hygiene supplies.
• The sink over the washing machine still looks quite original. If you select equipment that harmoniously combines in color and style, then this design will be perceived, in the first place, as an unusual design solution, and not as a forced measure to save space.

• "Uni-50", "Juni-60" - standard shells with rounded corners, have dimensions 60х60 cm and 60х50 cm, respectively. Material - enameled faience. The hole for the mixer is in the center, and the drain is as close to it as possible. There is an overflow.
• "Victoria" - a compact sink in the size of 60.5х59.5 cm. A distinctive feature is the location of the hole for the mixer - it can be installed in the left or right corner of the sink. In the kit comes a soap dish made of earthenware.
• "Light" - a flat sink measuring 61x60 cm. This model does not have a hole for the mixer. The drain is displaced as close as possible to the wall, so that it is possible to bring all the communications behind the washing machine.
• "Elegant" is a simple model for small washing machines. Its dimensions are 62x60 cm. There is no opening for installing the mixer. The drain hole is biased towards the wall.
• Lux Light is a shell of standard height measuring 62x60 cm. It is equipped with a hole for the mixer and overflow. The drain hole is located near the mixer, which makes it easy to connect.
• "Dial" is a fairly large model measuring 63.5x57 cm. The mixer can be installed in the left or right corner of the sink, and in the opposite corner a soap dish made of faience is installed. The drain hole is as close as possible to the mixer.
• "Bolero" - a beautiful rounded sink with the possibility of installation in the corner of the bathroom. Its dimensions are 60x64 cm. The hole for the mixer is located in the left corner, next to it there is a drain.
• "Mini" - a miniature sink for the smallest washing machines. Dimensions 64x50 cm. The standard rectangular shape allows you to install this model anywhere in the bathroom. There is a hole for the mixer and overflow.

When choosing a sink that will be installed over the washing machine, you need to follow a few simple rules, and then the resulting design will be convenient and safe to use:

• The water lily must necessarily be wider and deeper than the washing machine. The difference should be at least 2 cm, and it is better if the indent is 5 cm.
• Although the horizontal drain is prone to blockage, it is preferable to choose the "water lily" with this type of drain. It is more convenient to carry out regular preventive maintenance of blockages, than to repair the watered washing machine or to change wiring.
• If possible, purchase a model equipped with a drain hole. So you can protect your and neighbor property from flooding.
• Also note the presence / absence of a hole for the mixer. There are no strict recommendations, it all depends on your individual preferences.

As we have said, not all models of washing machines can be used for installation under the sink. It is necessary that they meet the two basic requirements:

• To avoid as many inconveniences as possible during washing and hand washing, the height of the washing machine should not exceed 70 cm.
• The depth of the washing machine is an equally important factor. The smaller it is, the more comfortable the water-lily shell will be in use. Depending on the size of the sink, you need to choose a machine depth from 34 to 43 cm

Installation of the water lily shell is done in the following order:

• The sink is tried on the installation site and applied to the wall with markings.
• Drill holes in the wall.
• With bolts fix the brackets( with the bolt fastening leave a gap of 5 mm).
• The water-lily shell is installed on the brackets, aligning horizontally.
• Collect the drain siphon and connect it to the drain hole.
• The drain hose of the washing machine is connected to a special tap of the siphon.
• The joint is sealed with a clamp.
• Connect the corrugated pipe from the sewer.
• Using a metal hook, sold complete with a sink, mount the device to the wall.
• Fasteners fasten with a screw and dowel.
• Bolts are tightened up to the stop.
• The back of the shell is covered with a sealing compound.
