Composition types
Acrylic paints are water based substances and consist of pigments and a binder. The basis for these are acrylic resins, which make the coating durable and elastic. They also have high resistance to moisture and wear. In addition, they do not have an unpleasant odor, and they dry up quickly. As a result, these are the most expensive paints from all water-based paints.
Divide acrylic paints into water-based and organic formulations. The second type can be used in the range from -30 to +40 degrees Celsius, and storage at different temperatures will not have any negative impact on them. However, in their composition about 60% of substances that are harmful to human health. Water-based compounds for humans are not dangerous, but they must be stored in a room with a stable positive temperature.
Important! The methods of applying various paints must be read on the product label.
Than to dilute acrylic paint for different purposes?
Active pigments in water-based acrylic paint are bonded together by water elements. Therefore, when deciding how to dilute acrylic paint, use clean water. For this, a clean bucket is taken and paint is poured out of the can. Gradually pour water into it, while constantly mixing the compound with a construction mixer. The mixture should be stirred until the necessary consistency is formed.
If necessary, you can add the required color to the composition. For this, a special color is used. This is done in the following way: a shallow container is taken and mixed with acrylic paint and a small amount in it. Further, the resulting mixture is gradually poured into a bucket with a basic composition, while constant stirring is done. To get the desired shade, add color to your eyes.
You can also use diluent for acrylic paints, and the same firm as the composition itself, for dilution. But you can use the usual solvent, and even vodka. The main thing here: to experiment on a small amount of paint. Mix different proportions, while the composition should not be folded or, conversely, exfoliate. If you plan to use the composition through an airbrush, then it must be brought to a consistency, which should resemble fatty milk.
Note! For application of the composition with a brush, its density should resemble the consistency of sour cream.
What else do I need to know?
Before applying any paint, including acrylic, it is necessary to prepare the surface. The durability of the applied coating depends on how well it is made. With the help of acrylic paints, it is possible to paint any surfaces, as well as inside and outside the room, so the surface must be prepared very carefully. When calculating the required amount of the composition, it is necessary to take into account that the color should be produced in two layers.
Tip! For dilution, use only high-quality materials to avoid spoiling the formulation.
Acrylic paints are suitable for most surfaces, but this does not mean that all types of this composition are suitable for all materials. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions and consult with professional sellers at the time of purchase. Listening to all the recommendations for use and dilution, you can make a high-quality painting of the required surface.
