Task one: Calculation of the dimensions of the ladder

1. Calculation of the total lifting of the ladder.
   
   First of all, determine the upper level of the ladder. Using a water level or another level, it is necessary to mark the upper boundary of the ladder and draw a line. After this, it is necessary to estimate the length of the structure as a whole. With its help, you can calculate the number of steps, dividing the length by 27.9 cm. Then, at a distance of the length of the structure, you should measure the overall height of the structure along the vertical.
2. Calculates the height of each stage.
   
   The height of the riser is usually not more than 20 cm and not less than 12 cm. The most convenient design is with a step height of 14 to 17 cm.
   
   To calculate the convenient step height, you need:
   • Divide the total height of the ladder by 17.8 cm.find out how many steps( steps) the design should have.
   • The total height should be divided into the number of steps calculated earlier, and this will make it possible to find out the height of the riser.
   • This calculation system is not a prerequisite. If the calculated dimensions and distances in the end seem uncomfortable to you, boldly remove or add the number of steps until the result satisfies.
3. Defining the width of the
   
   step The step width( treads) is the horizontal dimension of one step. Standard treads are manufactured in two ways:
   • Two planks stacked side by side, forming a 27.9 cm wide step;
   • One solid board, equal to the width of the step of 28.6 cm.
4. Determination of the width of the structure

   The width of the ladder is selected individually. However, it should be remembered that stairs are standard in widths of at least 80 cm in width.

Stage two: Preparing the oblong

The number of strips depends on the width of the finished staircase. Before placing the steps, consider how the kosour will be attached to the terrace. With the aid of a pattern, mark the kosour. This is an accurate and painstaking work, since the Kosovars provide stability and stiffness of the ladder.

Stage three: Installation of steps and risers

Cut the steps and risings with the step ledge above the riser 2-4 cm. After mounting the risers, proceed to securing the individual steps. Start with the bottom: fix the step with two screws on each side, and so move on.

After finishing the installation of the steps, proceed to the installation of balusters and handrails.
