The new chandelier does not work: lamps flicker and the remote control does not work

Irina asks:

Good afternoon. An electrician was installing a chandelier.
Chandelier Feature:
  • Brand: MW
  • Collection: Snowdrop
  • Manufacturer: China
  • Warranty: 12 months
  • Size (WxHxD): 57x36x57 cm
  • Material: metal, glass, crystal
  • Lamps: 16x20W, type G4
  • Color: chrome
  • Lighting area: 21.33 sqm

Firstly, he said that the remote control does not work. Doesn't react at all. Secondly, he installed 16 G4 LED bulbs on it, and when these bulbs are on... I flicker, as if the light is “cracking”. Not at all, somewhere in half. I called the store and said it was installed incorrectly. What could be the reason? Even when you turn it on, the chandelier clicks very much.

The question is answered: Alexander Myasoedov

Hello! 12 volt LED bulbs? If so, what feeds them? If an electronic transformer, then the light will flicker. Then you need to install a 12V power supply with a constant output voltage, the same as for LED strips.

The remote control will only work if there is a radio relay there. If there is a remote control in the kit, then the radio relay should also be. The question is, how did he connect it? It was possible to connect this chandelier directly bypassing the radio relay, then the remote control would not work. A diagram is usually drawn on the relay itself.

As for the click - yes, the radio relays click loudly enough, well, not so much, like clicking your fingers.
