The twentieth century enriched the architectural design with two bold and controversial solutions: lofts - former factory premises turned into dwellings - and minimalism style. Contrary to widespread skepticism about the ability of such design to provide comfortable conditions, the design of an apartment in the style of minimalism is still popular.
The combination of loft styles and minimalism in the kitchen
In our case, the apartment "grew" the second level due to re-planning of a non-residential winter garden. This original "uninhabited" allowed organically incorporate elements of loft style into the overall design. It is most clearly manifested in the interior of the kitchen-dining room: the facades are lined with material simulating riveted metal sheets, and the hood above the kitchen island looks absolutely industrial.
With furniture the walls of brick are harmonious, the intentional shabby nature of which can not hide the thin layer of whitewash.
Canonical tricks of minimalism in the kitchen are also present. The furniture is arranged in a geometric order, it has right angles, the materials used for minimalist style are used - metal, wood, plastic. Glossy countertops, huge, scarcely curtained French windows and abstract canvases on the walls bring a touch of refinement to the interior.
And black lamps, more like lighting for filming, completely deprive the kitchen of everyday triviality.
Living room in an apartment in a minimalist style
The minimalist living room continues the color scheme of the kitchen: a restrained contrast of white walls and brown furniture elements. However, the floor, unlike white kitchen boards, is warmer, the color of dark wood.
The accent wall has a complex texture - an imitation of different-level concrete blocks. The riveted metal paneling of the coffee table is another element of the loft style. Fixtures on the soffit support the feeling in the kitchen that the apartment is a pavilion for filming a movie.
However, quite a cozy pavilion: in each corner you can find a soft sofa and comfortably sit on it. For additional illumination, the upper part of the wall partitions is replaced by a glass through which the rays from adjacent rooms penetrate.
Open shelves and cabinets in the frame of the sofa serve as a roomy storage for small things. For the same purpose, the flight of stairs between the floors is turned into a cabinet with sliding modules. A small room at the bottom of the staircase is decorated according to the classical principles of minimalism: natural stone tile, white walls and ceiling, smooth facades, empty shelves, large mirrors and a simple, comfortable sofa.
The bathroom is in minimalist style. Distinctive features of
Also clearly designed in the style of minimalism bathroom. The coldness of light plates and mosaics brighten up the warm facades "under the tree", and the corner behind the bathroom is entirely lined with wall panels with such a finish. In this room, the number of decor elements is minimized.
Style of loft in the bedroom. Strictly and tastefully
In the bedroom, there are again elements in the loft style: white brick walls, wooden ceilings with menacingly ancient beams. The bedside table resembles an iron box on a stand, and light is provided by all the same "cine" lamps on the spotlights. But the rest of the furniture makes it clear that in front of us - an ordinary bedroom in the style of minimalism.
A simple functional wardrobe with white smooth facades, a large bed with an active leather texture, white and gray textile Roman curtains simulating a deaf wall in a straightened form. The interior is animated by two modern canvases above the bed.
The design of the second bedroom is made in warmer colors. The main accent is a brick wall of natural reddish-brown color, the only one in the whole house. The depth of space is provided by a dark gray floor and a huge blue bed.
Light tulle smooths the brutality of textures. Bizarre fixtures serve as a link between all the rooms of the apartment.
Children's room in the style of minimalism. Interior design was a success
The best example of the minimalist style is the children's room. Zoning of the space is carried out with the help of raised floor. And so upbeat that under it fit functional boxes. On the pedestal there was a work area with a chalkboard, followed by a leisure chair. The bed is built into the rack.
The space is conveniently organized thanks to the closet, shelves and drawers. All the furniture is white and green, opposite the bed - an accent black wall panel under the TV.Warm brown floor, calm green facades, white walls and ceiling together create an optimistic, cozy color scheme.
The image is completed by a large window on the entire wall, decorated with Roman textile curtains.
