All deferrization filters work according to one principle:

1. At the first stage, divalent iron dissolved in water is oxidized, passing in this way into an insoluble ferric form.

1. Reagent filters using oxidizing agents (manganese, ozone, chlorine).

The only drawback that exists in this system is the dimensions. For such a filter, it is difficult to find a place in a standard small-sized apartment. In addition, the high prices of the filter and its consumables do not allow it to be installed by anyone.

A good alternative to expensive multi-stage systems can be iron removal filter nozzles for the crane based on ion-exchange resins. Such products perfectly remove iron, aluminum and other metals, and are also capable of restoring the filter composition. The advantages of this filtering method include:

• ease of installation and replacement;
• ease of use;
• small filter size;
• relatively low price.

Of course, this method does not bring water to the ideal, but with an average iron content in the water, the filter allows for good cleaning.

If you need to purify water in which the degree of content is close to normal, then you can use a filter jug, for which you need to choose the appropriate cartridge. It makes it possible to clean a small amount of water without problems. It should be borne in mind that basically this device produces only mechanical filtration.
