Repair is a “dirty” event, during which a large amount of waste and garbage is generated. It is necessary to get rid of all this somehow. However, it is impossible to simply throw such garbage into the garbage chute or into an ordinary tank. They are intended for household waste, not for construction, but a penalty is provided for improper disposal. We will find out where construction waste left after repair can be thrown without violating the law.

How to dispose of construction waste?

What is construction waste?

Oddly enough, there is no consensus on this matter. The concept of "construction waste" is interpreted in very different ways. Someone includes only bulky waste here, someone - absolutely all the garbage generated during the repair. However, Government Decision No. 155 makes it clear that the waste generated during the ongoing maintenance of housing should be considered household and disposed of in exactly the same way. This raises the question of what to consider as “current repair”. These are usually small

cosmetic worksuch as painting windows or replacing wallpaper. Therefore, if a jar of paint was thrown away or even several packages with old wallpaper, communal services should not have questions.

Differently will be considered garbage generated during overhaul, because in this case the volume of waste is very large. For example, fragments of walls and fittings can no longer be called household waste. Here we will talk about bulky construction waste. The same will apply to a large number of bags with various waste after repair. And they will have to be taken care of separately.

How and where to remove construction waste?

Construction waste has to be taken care of by the residents themselves. There are several solutions to the problem:

  1. The easiest way is for those who live in the area of new buildings, where repairs are in full swing and this issue is relevant for most. At a meeting of apartment owners, a decision is made, an appropriate contract is signed with the management company, which establishes a special additional container. It is larger in size and painted in a different color. In the receipts, an additional column appears in the tenants, which indicates the amount of payment for the removal of construction waste.
  2. Some management companies have concluded a contract with some organizations for the disposal of bulky waste. Special cars arrive on certain days and pick up bags stacked in special places: on separate sites or near the garbage chute. You can find out about this by contacting the management company.
  3. If the Criminal Code does not have the above contract, and repairs are only in 1 apartment, you can negotiate with any company directly involved in the disposal of construction waste. In this case, it will not be necessary to solve the problem of transportation and loading of garbage, nor will it be necessary to look for a landfill where such waste is taken. However, the fee for such services is very substantial.
  4. If you have a personal car, you can solve the problem differently: do the self-removal of construction waste. But first you have to find a dump where he will be taken. For this, you also have to pay a small amount.
  5. If there is no transport, you can search the newspaper for ads from the category “I will accept construction rubbish, pick-up”, call and find out exactly what they pick up. Most often, they take brick, reinforcement, concrete for export.
  6. They will gladly take broken brick and plaster to fill the pits in some garage cooperative or gardening. However, it will most likely have to be delivered to them on their own.

There are many ways to solve the problem of construction debris and places where you can take out bags after repair. You just need to choose the most suitable option for you.

The most important thing is not to succumb to the temptation and not to throw construction waste into the general garbage chute. Public utilities still will not pick him up, but the house can easily calculate an unscrupulous tenant. And at best, these proceedings will be limited to a fine.

How to pack construction waste?

It’s not enough to decide where the construction waste will be exported; you still need to figure out how it will be packed. No one will collect pieces of brick or concrete scattered around the yard. They should all be in a strictly defined place and neatly packed, not scattered. Here, several options are also provided: bags made of polyethylene, polypropylene, fabric or paper, as well as cardboard boxes.

  • Large plastic bags are ideal for small rubbish after repair, as well as light bulk waste, for example, for old wallpaper. Heavy and sharp objects can easily tear such a bag.

  • Polypropylene bags are familiar to many. They are used in factories and in the food industry for the packaging of bulk products. They are dense and durable, they are difficult to tear, they are able to withstand a large load, so they can be used repeatedly. This is especially important for self-trash (do not have to spend money on new ones every time). In polypropylene bags, you can put broken bricks, cuttings of fittings, pipes, concrete fragments.

Many building mixtures (cement, tile adhesive, plaster) are purchased in paper bags. You can save a lot if you put garbage in them, and not throw it away. They are durable and withstand heavy loads.

  • Fabric bags are reusable. However, it is quite easy to tear them with sharp objects, so it is not recommended to transport pipe cuttings and fittings into them.

Cardboard boxes, where you can store bulky waste, will also help you save money. They can be asked at any store. Or use those that have remained at home from the purchase of household appliances or electronics. However, due to their large size, they are not always convenient to use.
