The surface is leveled during the work. To do this, use beacons that are 3-5 cm from the window frame, and a wooden bar as a guide. Then they begin to fill the grout with mortar along the perimeter of the glass unit. Then trim the slope from bottom to top with a thickness of not more than 6-7 mm.

Plastic slopes

For finishing the slopes with plastic, it takes a little time and skill, and the result will be pleased with the finished neat appearance. Such a slope does not need to be additionally plastered or painted.

For the device of slopes from PVC it ​​is necessary to make measurements and to cut out an available material on strips. Then, along the perimeter of the window, a U-shaped profile is fixed with screws. On the outer part of the window opening flush to the wall is installed a wooden rack, on which the brackets are fixed with an F-shaped profile. Then proceed to the device slope. Plastic billets are installed in the formed grooves.

The area between the wall and PVC sheets is filled with mineral wool insulation and mounting foam. Joints between the wall and the slope are closed with a plastic corner around the perimeter. Joints between plastic sheets are filled with a silicone sealant of suitable color.

Finishing of plasterboard slopes

The cavities formed are filled with a mineral wool insulation or mounting foam. After the work is finished and the foam is dried, it is cut with a knife, the excess of plasterboard is cut off, joints and seams are plastered. Then finish coat of putty and paint is applied.

Finishing slopes by any of the above methods - an occupation though laborious, but on the shoulder of an ordinary person. The main thing is not to postpone the execution of these works, since the unfinished slopes lead to a deterioration of the thermal insulation properties of the windows, due to deformation and damage to the mounting foam.
