Open wiring
To conduct open wiring, it is necessary to fix the cable over the decorative wall decoration. As a rule, this version of electrical wiring is used in wooden houses and garden buildings, for example, in a garage or a household block. For fixing wires to walls, cable channels, clips or special porcelain insulators can be used. Let's consider the features of each of the options.
Cable channels
To date, the fastening of wires and cables in special plastic channels is most often used. This is due to the fact that the cable channels have an attractive appearance, low cost and, most importantly, allow fast fixing of a group of conductors in one place. To fix it yourself, it is enough to fix the plastic box on the wall using self-tapping screws.
If you want to connect several elements in one line, you can use the special connections provided by the manufacturer. After the cable channel is fixed, you can put all the cables in it and close the front cover( it's on the latches).
Clip
Mounting of wires and cables with clips is used only when installing electrical wiring in pipes, and also if the conductor is additionally protected by a corrugated pipe. In this case, attaching the wiring to the wall and ceiling is very simple.
If the surface is wooden, all you need is to fix the clip with the help of wood screws. In a concrete wall or ceiling, you need to pre-drill the holes with a perforator, then drive in the dowels, and then fix the clips themselves. The entire installation technology is clearly shown in the video example:
By the way clips can be mounted not only indoors, but also on the street. This method is suitable if you have decided to conduct street wiring on the slag block or brick walls of structures.
Insulators
The fixing of wires to the wall on the insulator is most often used when installing electrical wiring in a wooden house and bath. First you need to fix the porcelain kegs themselves, which are fixed to the wooden paneling or the log frame with the help of screws, then twist the strands into a tight bundle and pass it to the insulator as shown in the photo below:
In order not to twist the wires yourself, you can buy a special wiringunder the old days, which is already twisted. On how to make a retro posting yourself, read the relevant article.
Nail clamps
This fixing method is suitable for television and telephone cables, as well as lines from the Internet. There are flat and round plastic brackets that can be easily attached to the wall with the help of small studs coming in a set. Very convenient installation option, which is used to quietly hold the cable over the baseboard in the house or apartment.
Concealed wiring
When installing wiring in a hidden way( in the shtrobe under the plaster), there are more options for fixing wires and cables to the walls. Consider from the most simple and effective, to the least convenient.
Dowels-clamps
Dowels-clamps, in fact, as well as dowels-screeds, are very convenient to use. These fasteners have low cost and also allow you to quickly make wiring. The couplers, of course, are more practical and versatile, so we recommend you to choose them for fixing the wires in the shtrobe. All you need is to drill a hole in a concrete, brick or wood surface, insert a special anchor plug into it, and then drive in a special expansion peg.
Clamp the dowel-clamp in the wall even easier. You just need to drill a hole, and then hammer into it the yoke with the cable, as shown in the picture below. To attach the wire to the plasterboard, we recommend using a special butterfly dowel, into which the fasteners( the second picture) are already screwed.
By the way, if you already have electrical wiring on the walls and you need to attach another cable to it, you can use ordinary plastic clips. For fastening in this way on the street, it is recommended to use black clamps that are resistant to ultraviolet radiation!
Quick-drying mortar
In order to fasten the fastening of wires and cables in the shtroba, you can use a quick-drying mortar: alabaster or gypsum. In this case, you need to act in a hurry; The finished solution very quickly freezes, and you may not be in time to fix the entire selected area in the wall. As a rule, the cable should be "frozen" in the prepared stroba every 40 cm, as shown in the photo.
The advantage of this method of fixing the wire is that you do not need to spend much money on the material and you can do without nails and without drilling the walls. The main disadvantage is the rapid hardening of the solution, so you need to dilute gypsum or alabaster with small volumes. In addition, it will be very difficult to attach more than two conductors to the wall.
Homemade brackets
Fastening the cable to the wall with brackets will ensure a reliable grip of the conductor, and also allow several groups of cables to be fixed in one track. In order to attach the conductors with staples, you must first make these fasteners yourself. In this case, you will need either thin galvanized steel, cut into strips, or aluminum wire PTPZH.The length of each staple should be from 6 to 7 cm. You need to cut the material with suitable pieces, and then drill a suitable hole in the center of each. Further all is simple - the wall is drilled in suitable places, after that the dowel is driven in and "quick installation" is made. Also it is possible to hammer staples with nails, if fastening is carried out on wooden walls.
The disadvantages of this method is the long preparation time of self-made brackets, the probability of damage to the conductor insulation( if strips of galvanized steel are used), and the possible appearance of red spots on the wallpaper if the steel begins to oxidize. We do not recommend this option if you need to fix the wire in the wall under the plaster.there are more modern and convenient ways of installation. Staples are reasonable to use for attaching the heating cable of the system to the warm floor.
Assembly area
Well, the last one, one of the modern options, which will fix the wire on the tile or furniture( for example, a table) - the use of mounting pads with one self-adhesive side. It's all quite simple, so there's no point in explaining the essence of fastening. You can see the mounting pads on the photo:
There are all ways to fix wires and cables to the wall. As you can see, there is a wide range of fasteners that will help you to choose the most suitable option for different application conditions.
