Ways of installing the floor strips
The fixing of skirting boards from MDF can be made in various ways. The easiest way is to attach to liquid nails or glue. In order to use this method, the surface to be erected must be level. The glue must be applied in places that will be in contact with the surface. Preliminary adjustment is made for all sizes.
Another way of fixing is with self-tapping screws and dowels. This method can be used for surfaces that do not have an ideal plane. Plinths before installation are measured and adjusted. Further, holes are made in them, into which dowels are inserted for greater adhesion strength, and screws are already screwed into it.
During installation, it must be remembered that incorrect performance of this work can cause damage to the material or its fasteners. In this regard, you need to use only serviceable components and tools. Despite the ease of installation, the plinth can easily be damaged, so it is necessary to follow all the installation rules that the manufacturer gives.
