Actual characteristics of a biroster

Components of a biroster:

  • Polyester,
  • Glass-fiber or fiberglass
  • Bituminous impregnation

The above-mentioned elements favorably favor all types of solid roofing systems. Bikrost actively protects the roof from leaks, it is recommended to use it both for laying on a new roof and for repairing a "second-hand" old one.

Bikrost is released in roll packages with different footage and a factory for its production. An amazing advantage is the price of the material, its functional features and strength. Bikrost is used for the construction of residential buildings and for large-scale construction of industrial buildings. It is budgetary and durable by characteristics.

Bikrost is classified into the following types:

  • CCI
  • TKP
  • STD
  • HKP

At first glance, the abbreviations do not bear the semantic load. Below we consider the types listed.

Species species of the biroster

What do the types of bicrosts mean? Let's turn to the construction data:

  • XPP - the standard type of bicrost. Its manufacturing takes place in several stages: the bitumen layer is attached to the fiberglass and a protective polyethylene film is applied to it. HPP is inherently a lower layer of roofing.

  • HKP - its main content is fiberglass. Features similar to HPP.It has a layer of bitumen and polyethylene. The top layer consists of a granulate( possibly shallow shale), which is a reliable protective coating against harmful sunlight.

  • TKP - the main component of fiberglass. The lower tier is represented by a polyethylene layer, the upper layer is a granulate or a shale powder. TCH is used as an upper level for inversion roofs.

  • CCI - mostly consists of a fiberglass fabric. Its defining function is to serve as the lower tier of the roof in cooperation with the HKP, TKP.CCI has a polyethylene sheath.

Bikrost can have a polyester base. This species is extremely rare.

Standard bikrost stacking technology

List of tools for stacking bicrosts:

  • gas burner
  • hook made of wood or metal
  • bituminous substance

Bikrost is placed on roofs with hot bitumen, using a gas burner. Put bitumen from the bottom up.

We suggest to consider the step-by-step laying components:

  1. . The concrete foundation of the roof must be cleaned of various kinds of contaminants and water spraying.
  2. Apply a primer to the roof surface. The primer can consist of bitumen liquid with the addition of gasoline, nefras, primer. Work the top layer of the roof with mortar. Leave to dry
  3. Bikrost decomposes perpendicular to the roof slope
  4. The surface is melted with a gas burner and rolled out with a hook. Bitumen tier contributes to a good interaction of the material and screed

It is important to note! You just need to touch a bedrock bikrost, walk on it. It should lie until completely dry. In the case of dents, its surface may begin to deteriorate.

  1. After complete drying, you can start laying the second roll. Stacking is performed with an overlap of 100 millimeters
  2. Continue following the above scheme

It is not difficult to lay a bikrost, covering the roof with a soft roof. The main thing is to fulfill the requirements. The first layer is laid without problems, it is the basis for the second tier stacking.
