The surface of the product is covered with a special lacquer - gelcoat. Its thickness should not exceed 1 mm. In this case, the varnish performs a protective function: it increases the resistance of the product to moisture and ultraviolet rays. In addition, it is the gelcoat layer that gives the finished interior the smoothness and makes its surface less susceptible to contamination.
The use of transparent varnish together with special compounds allows successfully imitating not only natural marble, but also granite, acrylic stone.
