PVC sandwich panels:
structure This material consists of three layers. For facing on both sides are used: 1) special rigid sheets of PVC for sandwich panels, 2) PVC sheet foamed, 3) laminated plastic. If we consider the first option, the thickness of the sheet is 1 mm, and the size is 3000x1500 mm. When using the second option - foamed PVC sheets - additional heat insulation and low density are provided, since this material has a porous structure. They are made by extrusion.
The third way for lining PVC panels is to use a laminate. Produce it by impregnating the resin "bundles of paper."Namely, decorative, overlay and kraft paper. Further all this is pressed under a load of 90-110 kg / cm2.Thus, the most reliable and durable material for facing is obtained.
For internal filling of PVC panels, expanded polystyrene is extruded, on the surface of which grooves are made. They contribute to the release of air and support the gluing process. The thickness of the entire panel can be 10 or 24 mm.
Sandwich panels PVC: technical characteristics and properties
Thanks to this closed porous PVC insulation system, the sandwich panels have the following properties:
- They have a low thermal conductivity, which is only 0.041 W / m2K.
- High resistance to atmospheric precipitation and ultraviolet radiation, withstand sharp temperature changes.
- A slight absorption of moisture, only 0.51% over the entire volume in 24 hours.
- Excellent strength characteristics( compressive strength is 0.27 MPa, and with bending 0.96 MPa).
- Do not form an environment favorable for the reproduction of microorganisms.
- Provide good sound insulation.
- Resistance to flame and flame propagation, as a special component - flame retardant is added to the composition.
- The material is easy to process and easy to fit.
PVC sandwich panels for slopes: mounting method
As already mentioned, PVC sandwich panels have dimensions of 3000x1500 mm. The thickness of the material for the slopes is better to choose 10 mm. The shade can be any: under a tree, matte, gloss, white, etc. Installation of panels is best done immediately after the installation of plastic windows.
The cut, cut to size, is inserted into the starting profile, which should then be snapped on the window profile. At the same time fix it with screws with dowels. And the recessed hats cover the PVC sandwich panels, which are glued over.
In the event that the wall is heavily broken, brackets are used. That is, one of them is attached to the slope, the other - to the wall. Use the usual mounting tape to connect, you can POLI-MOUNT 385 or 390 .The brackets are fixed by means of self-tapping screws.
In some cases, apply a second glue, for example, COSMOFEN CA-12 ( when bending flat shelf is maintained).At the finishing stage, seal the gap that is left between the sill, the slope and the profile. Most often the white composition is suitable( under the color of the windows and panels themselves).For its application, use a special gun.
COSMOFEN 345 can be used as a sealant, which is somewhat like putty-glue. They fill the gap with a size of 3 mm. It is excellent for joining PVC with concrete and wood, does not turn black with dust and does not turn yellow from UV rays.
