When it dries, the surface is re-grinded with an abrasive until the putty and glue are completely removed from the defect area. With large dents or chips, they also come in, they are covered with putty and sanded with an abrasive. After a simple, but requiring patience work, you can start paint and varnish.
How to properly cover the doors with varnish?
So, the next step is priming. Take 0.5 liters of gloss varnish and dilute 0.2 liters of solvent. Products must be completely rid of dust, you can use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air.
Use a paint brush to apply a thin, even layer to the surface. Covering the doors with varnish is best done by placing the door horizontally. The primer layer will dry pretty quickly, it will take twenty minutes. After drying, the primed surface should be sanded with sandpaper, and then re-cleaned of dust.
The next stage of work is the application of an even thick layer of undiluted glossy varnish to the surface of the door. It is important to avoid the ingress of mechanical impurities and dust into the lacquer or brush, as well as streaks on the surface. Since the varnish is not diluted, it will dry longer, it will take about forty minutes if the temperature in the room is about twenty degrees. After the varnish dries, the surface is sanded again and cleaned from dust.
The last step in working with a door is to create a matte layer. Before applying the varnish to the surface of the door, it must be diluted with a solvent in a ratio of 1 liter of varnish to 50 g of solvent. Mix the mixture well, since the matting composition can be left on the bottom.
Important! Apply a matte lacquer quickly and without delay, so that no stains remain, a thick neat layer. The last layer is the most important. If something went wrong, and the varnish was not well, treat the surface with sandpaper and apply one more layer.
