In such a time-consuming task as installing interior doors with your own hands, there are certain criteria when performing. It is very important to install the door correctly, otherwise it will not look well-groomed, and the door will not last long.

Unpacking the door kit

The first step of installing the door is the simplest stage of installation. It is necessary to unpack the purchased kit of the door and its boxes. Attention is focused on the fact that it is necessary to carry out this carefully, so as not to cause the door to cause its first harm.

Assembling the kit

The unpacked door box must be assembled as in the photo. In the complete set it is necessary to find three main components of a part and one minor. In the role of secondary stands the bar, designed only for temporary fixation. Next, you need to get the inserts stuffed into the grooves, which must be carefully cut out. Each detail of the door frame is folded in the shape of the letter P. At this stage of the door installation, you must adhere to the geometry. Any unevenness is unacceptable!

The joined elements are fastened together by means of broken plastic inserts. They need to be hammered into the holes formed during the connection of the door frame. It is advisable to use a conventional hammer, and finish with a peg. Often when the inserts are plugged, the elements of the box are shifted, they can be aligned with the same hammer. Tap on the body on the attached wooden bar, so as not to damage the case.

The next step in installing the interior door will tell you how to use the necessary tools. It is necessary to have a screwdriver, a drill and a milling head. To begin with, the width of the bottom of the box is measured, fixed with a wooden bar. Then screwed with screws in places that will later be embedded in the wall with a solution. Slim cuts of the door frame

The next step in the self-installation of interior MDF doors is the cutting of the bottom of the door frame. To begin with, it is necessary to accurately measure the height of the doorway, it is important to take into account the height of the threshold, if any. After having all the necessary parameters, boldly proceed to pruning. It is recommended to use an end saw. It would seem that the final stage in the installation of interior doors with their own hands is fitting. But even at this stage, the door to unpack is not recommended. It will be enough to make cutouts for the handle and the lock. If everything looks the same as the photo in the article, then you can proceed to placing the box in the doorway.

Installing the door frame

The installation requires geometric precision, which means that the box should be perfectly leveled using the level.

Upon completion, the box is screwed to the opening, most often a wood screw is used for this. In other cases, you can use a dowel - a nail and other similar materials. It is not advisable to install the frame from the front side, because it will spoil the appearance, it can also affect the operation of the door, for example, making it difficult to open or close.

Next, fill the slot between the box and the opening with a mounting foam, just like in the video.

The last step of installing the door

The last step in installing the door with your own hands is to hang the door on the hinges.

To begin with, mark the case for the place where the hinges will be located.

Next, note the place where the door lock will fit into the case of the box.

To make a hole using a chisel, after making a hole, you can proceed to fasten the cap, which is complete with handles and hinges.

After that it is necessary to hang the door on the hinges in the door frame and the work can be called completed.
