The ribbon grinding machine can work not only with wood: its application gives qualitative results when working with metals and plastics, cleaning such surfaces for painting and other types of processing. The range of models provides a power range from 500 to 1200 watts, which allows you to choose the right option for professional or home use. Depending on the possibilities laid by the manufacturer, many models allow smoothly or stepwise change the speed of the grinding skins( from fifty to five hundred meters per minute).
Speed control allows you to get a high-quality result taking into account the characteristics of materials. Additional conveniences can be provided by the presence of special handles, stops and attachments. Since the baking of the parquet is associated with the formation of a large amount of dust, an obligatory element of the machine must be a special branch pipe for connecting vacuum cleaners or dust collecting tanks.
By the way, despite the effective collection of dust, it should always work in a respirator( bandage, "petal"), "noise" and glasses.
Determining how to choose a belt sanding machine , you need to take into account that many manufacturers, in order to attract a buyer, the functionality of the tool is significantly expanded. This is achieved due to the acquisition of special grinding frames, excluding the possibility of accidental damages of the parquet or other surfaces, special clamps or supports for the convenience of stationary use.
Such vices and stands in combination with the stops( angled, parallel) will allow to obtain a perfectly flat bevel of the surface or the same parallelism of surfaces, etc. Since the principle of operation and the high productivity of tape machines make for an inexperienced worker a real risk of damage to the parquet coating, at the beginning of operation it is not recommended to use such a tool without a supporting frame.
The quality of work also depends on the correct choice of the grain size of the abrasive skin. It should be borne in mind that the higher the speed of the belt, the more likely it is to get new scratches, scoring or grooves instead of a perfectly flat surface.
