As we have already said, the tadpichnik is an element of the engine of the washing machine, which is located on a rotating shaft. It is quite easy to detect it, but for this you will have to partially disassemble the styralka. • the spinning drum rotates much more slowly than it should;
• during washing, the drum speed is significantly larger than usual;
• when you finish washing, you pull a poorly pressed or completely wet laundry out of the drum.

You can verify the malfunction( or vice versa) of the tachogenerator by checking the status of this device. It will consist of several stages:

Measurement of resistance on the wires of the sensor. Preliminary it is necessary to take out wires from a socket, and only then to start measurements. They are produced by means of a multimeter, translated into an ohmmeter mode. Normally, the resistance of the sensor should be about 60 ohms.

Voltage measurement on tachogenerator. This will also require a multimeter, but it will need to be switched to the appropriate mode. To get accurate data, by making measurements, you need to scroll the engine manually. As the speed increases, the instrument reading should become larger.

Checking the mounting reliability. If the measurement results are within the limits of the norm, you need to search for another reason for the failure of the device. First, make sure that it is securely fastened. If the bolts fixing it are loosened, this may well cause various malfunctions in the device operation.

Replacement of the faulty device is done in the following order:

• disconnect the wiring from the connectors( if this was not done during measurements);
• remove the plastic or metal lid of the tachogenerator, which is usually fixed with a simple latch;
• unscrew the fasteners on which the tag carrier is attached;
• remove the failed device and install a new one in its place.

• Many modern manufacturers of washing machines equip their instruments with a kind of tachogenerator called "Hall sensor".It is installed directly into the washing machine and is highly reliable. Similar devices can be found in washing machines of LG, Indesit, Bosch, Samsung( but not in all models).
• Sometimes problems with the speed of rotation of the drum arise not because of breakage of the tachogenerator, but for less serious reasons.
