Replacing halogen lamps with LED
In order to determine whether replacement of lamps is necessary, it is necessary to understand their method of operation and the advantages of using them. So, the luminescence method allows the use of light-emitting diodes in industry and conventional lamps to be safe components. After all, they do not contain mercury compounds, and therefore are not dangerous as a result of damage to their surfaces or large damage to the device. The advantage of the LED luminary, compared to incandescent lamps, is low energy consumption and a long service life of 30'000 to 50`000 and more hours at constant current, ease of placement, understated body temperature, distinctive brightness, mechanical strength and smalldimensions.
Safety in the field of ecology allows not to damage the natural environment, and also does not require special conditions for disposal, since it has neither mercury nor its derivatives.
But there are drawbacks. So, the minus is the high price, and the fact that the lamps shine only in one direction, i.e.minimal dispersion. In cheap such lamps they save on capacitors, resulting in a flicker that is invisible to the human eye. And also, saving on heat sink elements leads to the occurrence of burnout and overheating. And the same minus is the replacement in case of a burnout, on a similar element. But more often such shortcomings are compensated by economy. In comparison with halogen, LEDs benefit from an environmental advantage and due to low energy consumption.
Also, consumers often notice that when using these kinds of lamps in plafonds, you can easily notice the heating of the plafond and of course its lighting in the halogen is complete, and in the LED there is only the outer edge of the plafond.
Also, halogen lamps that are rated at 220V shine in yellow, and 12V are more white. The picture with LEDs is similar, but there is also a dependence on the color temperature.

The most popular LED lamp today is g4.This is the most compact lamp with low voltage, which is equipped with a pin socket, and the distance between the pins is 4 mm.
