• In the room there was a slimy or wet evaporation from the base of the floor. This problem can be immediately seen on the wallpaper, which begin to exfoliate. The presence of evaporation from the ground floor is verified as follows. Take a piece of polyethylene with a size of 1 mx 1 m, lay it on the parquet and press the corners with any weight. At normal room temperature( +18 ⁰С. .. + 27 ⁰С) there should be no condensation on the inner surface of the film. If it exists, there is no point in cycling such a floor. It must be ripped off, the condition of the main cover is examined, waterproofing is made( replaced), the room is dried, and only then lay the parquet board.
• There was a woodworm in the floorboards. This problem is determined visually. On the affected area, small holes can be found during examination, next to which, as a rule, there are piles of fine shavings.
• Parquet board is affected by rot. Check for rot in the parquet board with a simple shoe silk. In each corner of the room check for 2-3 boards. The awl is placed at an angle of 45⁰ in the corner of the board and pressed with a little effort. In the "healthy" board it will go to a depth of 5-7 mm, depending on the wood species. If the depth is greater, the plaque is affected by rot from below. In this case, its replacement is required.

Equipment and consumables for works

Carrying out this type of work will require the following tools:

• Drum sanders( machine for batching parquet).This tool is necessary for rough( rough) removal of varnish and the top layer of a parquet covering.

• Surface grinding machine. It is designed for finishing the floor before coating with varnish.

• Angle grinding machine. Its presence is necessary when working in corners, near walls, in niches. Some "experts" recommend to use the Bulgarian instead of the angle grinder to save the budget. Do not take these advice seriously. When processing the floor should be emphasis, otherwise a fairly heavy tool can break out of the hands and cause injury. Also, with such experiments, often a cup of a cone nozzle cuts into the floor surface, leaving deep potholes on it, which later will be problematic to repair.

• Industrial vacuum cleaner. In carrying out these works, this thing is simply necessary. When cycling and finishing the floor, a large amount of fine dust is released, which must be completely removed before varnishing. A broom and a rag this will make it problematic, so it's better to use a vacuum cleaner. Try to clean up the shavings immediately after work so that the areas where the surface layer is not completely removed are clearly visible.

Please note that renting such equipment can cost you 4-5 thousand rubles per day, so if you are going to carry out these works with your own hand, plan all operations in advance so as not to overpay for the time limit. Also be prepared that the owner will ask you to leave a deposit of about 40-60 thousand rubles.

In addition to the equipment, we will need consumables, namely:

• Three types of emery cloth: P36-P40 for roughing, P60-P80 for finishing and P100-P120 for thin stripping after primary varnishing. With a standard material width, its flow rate is approximately 1 m per 10 m2 of floor.
• Disks for surface grinding machine - 3 pcs.on 20 m2 of the floor.
• Putty for parquet and parquet varnish, approximately 5 kg.on 20 m2 of the floor.

All material will cost about 3 thousand rubles. Given these factors, consider that it will be profitable: do it yourself or hire professionals.

Remember, for a sewing machine, only a special skin should be used. On it the direction of rotation of the drum is always indicated by an arrow. You only need to fill the skin with the arrow. Often in the operation of such a machine, the eccentrics that attach the tape wear out, which is why the drive drum simply slips. In this case, it is necessary to use special substrates.

Each of the types of parquet has its own technology of bending and grinding:

• Parquet, laid with a herringbone, is sewn on the lines located at an angle of 45 ° to the boards, and the finished masonry - in the direction of the masonry parquet. Since the latter are stacked in different directions, each of the operations will have to be done at least two approaches.
• If the floor is decorated with curly, straight-layered parquet, it must be looped in two perpendicular directions, and must be made in two sets.
• Patterned parquet covers only the masters of this case, as one careless movement can spoil the whole pattern. Usually, such coatings are lined with boards of valuable wood of a small thickness, so careless barking is guaranteed to spoil the picture. Work is carried out in small areas, moving in a spiral from the outside to the inside. After processing one site, you need to smoothly switch to the next.

Grinding and baking of parquet

Work order:

1. To begin with, we take out all the furniture from the room, remove all plinths. Then it is necessary to clean the floor with a broom and "walk" through it with a household vacuum cleaner to completely remove the dust.
2. Next, we install a coarse pelt R36-P40 into the roughing machine and start work. First we pass from the far wall to the most passable place. As the dust container is filled, its contents are poured into a plastic bag.
3. If there are small spots of varnish( they can be visually determined by the dark color), we rip them off with an angle grinder from the edge of the spot to the center. We also remove the varnish from the surface in the corners and niches.
4. Fine grinding is performed using a surface grinder, and the angles and recesses are again passed by an angle grinder. After processing a certain area, we clean the dust.
5. We make a putty mix. Based on the putty knead some of the dust that formed from the surface grinding, and shpaklyuem entire floor. If you do this only in areas where there are potholes and cracks, after varnishing they will stand out as dark spots.
6. After the putty has dried, the coating must be sanded again. To do this, we use a scraping machine with a P60-P80 skin and an angle grinder for grinding hard-to-reach places.
7. Next, we apply a layer of varnish, and after it dries we sand with P100-P120.The remains of the nap are removed with a surface grinding machine.
8. After grinding several times we go through the floor and walls with a vacuum cleaner to remove fine dust.
9. Apply several layers of lacquer. Each subsequent layer is applied only after the previous one has dried completely. As a rule, the floor is covered with two layers of varnish; however, if the parquet is valuable or the room has a high cross-country capacity, it is better to make two or three layers more.

Features of the work

Circulation of the board floor. These works are slightly different from the parquet. Since such a floor can not be evened out perfectly anyway, the use of a surface grinder is not appropriate. It is necessary to remember one rule, the movement of the machine across the fibers of the tree is unacceptable.

Manual parquet baking. Such an operation is rather rare and is expedient only for small premises. For its production, a self-made or factory tool( scraping) is used.
