Installation procedure:

1. First of all we have to mount a metal frame for our design. If the thickness of the wall of the opening is equal to the width of the standard profiles, then one profile can be used, if not, then make a design of several. In our case, the width of the doorway, which we will replace with the arch, is 112 mm, so for the design we use the profile UW 100.
2. Cut out the profiles of the rack and the crossbar. The height of the columns will be equal to the radius of the future arch. To smooth the ends of the arch for a smooth transition in the doorway, at the ends of the racks, we cut the profile sidewalls.
3. We mount the rack to the wall of the opening. To do this, we use a drill and fastening dowels. Drill drill a hole of the necessary diameter in the wall and profile and drive into it first the clip of the dowel, and then the nail.
4. To the top of the opening, we fix the crossbar in the same way. We have a U-shaped structure. Then cut out two pieces of plasterboard in size equal to the dimensions of the structure. 5. Next, draw an arc that connects the cent point and the corners of the plasterboard. It can be done quite simply. 6. You can cut an arc with a paint knife, but it's best to use an electric jigsaw with a fine saw blade. Cut the sheet along the drawn line. The cut off part( semicircle) is applied to another piece and we draw a pencil. Cut out the second part.
7. Now fasten two blanks to the metal structure. We do this with a screwdriver and self-tapping screws on gypsum boards. In order to keep the structure better, the fastener step should be minimal. When carrying out this operation, gypsum boards should be gently squeezed to the profile to avoid cutting.
8. When the base of the arch is ready, it is necessary to seal its end part. To do this, we take a piece of the profile, long equal to the dimensions of the arc, and along the entire perimeter in steps of 20-30 mm we make cuts of the side walls so that it can be bent in the arc arch shape.
9. Bend the profile and attach it to the side walls inwards to the metal structure and plasterboard. Next, cut out a strip of plasterboard long equal to the length of the arc arch and a width equal to the width of the archway. The strip should lie in between the walls of the arch.
10. Bend the strip. Drywall is a fairly fragile material, so work with it must be done carefully. In order for it to be bent in the shape of an arc, it must be soaked. To do this, lavishly moisten the strip with water and without extra effort roll it with a needle roller.
11. Then put the profile between the two stools and leave for a while. Soon you will notice that the band began to sag. Then we take it and put it in the butt of the arch, fixing it with screws.
12. Next step on the corners of the arch we lay the painting flexible corner and attach it with an industrial stapler.
13. We proceed to priming the arches of plasterboard in the kitchen. To do this, we use a liquid mixture of deep penetration. Places of joints of the arch with the wall are covered with a paint net. After the primer has dried, proceed to the putty.
