General principles of the stone cutting machine

The main elements of the stone cutting machine are:

How does the system work?

Stone grinding can be done on ordinary glass with the use of abrasive powders. Only a few drops of water are necessary and a little powder is applied to the glass. Now you can start work. During the process, the powder is gradually added in small portions as the abrasive wears off, and water is poured in order to maintain the creamy mass. Cutting the stone with the transition from the coarse fraction to the smaller one, hands, glass and stone should be washed with soap and water and a brush, after all, if a small fraction of the grains of a large faction gets into the small fraction, all the work will be spoiled.

With this data, the pulley can be two-stage with a gear ratio of 1: 1 and 1: 0.35.The first is more convenient for processing stone with abrasive material, which is fastened, the second - for quick work with bulk powder.

As a transmission, the wedge-type belt from Zaporozhets perfectly suits. The thread of fastening the faceplate can be both left and right, the main thing is that during the work under load the faceplate does not fly off the axis. The trough for collection of sludge should be twice as large as the faceplate, and its height is two centimeters higher. The rubber is attached to the side walls, so that a stone that accidentally jumped out of the hands did not break.

All work with the stone is done with the addition of water, but a special dropper is used only for working on faceplates with fixed abrasive. If the work is carried out with a bulk abrasive, then it is better to use the hotel bath for wetting. A stone-cutting machine with its own hands, made on this principle, is a simple and effective way to obtain the necessary blanks.
