How to make a wooden rack

1. Determine what size and what weight will be the items for which the rack is made. This will determine the height and width of the shelves.

1. The width of the rack should be equal to the width of the empty space at the wall minus 5-10 cm, for ease of installation.
2. Do not make shelves longer than 1.5 m to avoid sagging and deformation. The optimum size is 1 m.
3. The depth of the shelves should not be more than 0,5-0,6 m, otherwise it will be difficult to extract the contents from the bowels.
4. Optimum height of shelves 0,25-0,6 m. The lower shelf can be built in height 0,8-1 m if you are thinking of storing large things on it.
5. It is more comfortable to mount the rack in a horizontal plane, and then install it vertically.

This is, of course, the most primitive example of a wooden rack, the price of which will be equal to the cost of consumables spent for its production. In this case, the two shelves are joined at an angle of 45⁰, which should be reflected in the plan drawing. Accordingly, the configuration of the corner pieces for the shelves and the length of the cross bars will be different from the standard version.
