Now let's consider the advantages of building a building from foam blocks. The foam blocks are a modern material that has high quality standards - it is durable, does not lend itself to the influence of excessive sunlight, nor does it freeze in the winter season. The main advantage is the ability to store heat. Thus, if you park a car in a metal garage - there is a risk that in the morning your car simply will not start, because the temperature in the garage will be slightly higher than on the street. In a garage built of foam blocks, this should not be a problem! .

Construction of the base for the garage

For the garage you need to choose the foundation according to your type of soil, you can read about it in the category - "foundation construction".Let's look at a difficult option - the construction of a foundation with grillage. To begin with, it will be necessary to drill the wells for the foundation, according to preliminary calculations, we will need them - about 16 pieces! .Next is the pouring of wells with concrete - preferably the M200 series, because it has the necessary strength properties.

The next stage will be the construction of the formwork and the reinforcement of its cross-timbering, which can be seen in the picture above - this is done so that when pouring our foundation it is not deformed, and with it the shape of the foundation is not deformed. By the way, pay attention that it is advisable to introduce slightly longer metal rods from our pillars under the foundation( wells) - we did not take into account this moment in time, but we recommend that you observe it. This will make it possible to secure the foundation with the posts more securely.

Now we start pouring the formwork with concrete, for this we mix sand, cement and crushed stone in a concrete mixer. Note that the foundation is best poured in 1 time, but if you can not pour in 1 time, then you need to moisten the basement with water by the next day and continue pouring in order not to lose the integrity of the structure.

Construction of garage walls

The next stage is the erection of garage walls, as we agreed long ago, we plan to use for the construction of foam blocks, but note that the foam blocks are quite expensive material, although undoubtedly of high quality. In addition to foam blocks, you can use slag blocks or cheap blocks of sawdust, which by the way can be made by hand - we already wrote about the production of arbolitic blocks with our own hands in previous articles.

Now comes the time of installing the doors, of course you can put the usual iron doors. But the garage is more suitable for lifting or sliding gates.

Inspection pit in the garage with your own hands

The construction of the inspection pit is a long, but nevertheless very interesting process. It begins with the waterproofing of the outside with the help of a roofing felt or special tapes( Technonikol and so on).This is done to ensure that after the freezing( in the winter time of the day) the observation pit "did not lead" and it did not deform with the arrival of groundwater. After the waterproofing is ready the moment of the formwork construction for the inspection pit comes up - an example of the construction of the formwork you can see on the slide below.

As can be seen on the slides, the waterproofing is laid not only horizontally( on the floor), but also vertically. Now the process of filling is in progress. You can remove the formwork in a week, please note that all the strength properties of the foundation will be collected in 2-3 weeks.

Construction and floor screed in the garage

You can not talk much about the floor screed, because it's a fairly simple process, but in general terms the plan looks like this:

1. First it is necessary to excavate the soil for 10 cm and put a special film on the bottom of this soil, which serves as a kind of waterproofing from the side of the ground.
2. The next stage will be filling the floor with sand - it will be necessary to cover 10-15 cm in height.
3. The next step is to put the waterproofing film on the sand again - just in case( the sand gets wet).
4. After the film laying is finished - we begin to lay the metal crate and connect it with squares of 10 to 15 cm. Bind better the reinforcement - the hook for binding the reinforcement. By the way, pay attention that it is better to put the film in an overlap on the walls, that is, with a margin of 10-20 cm. Since filling the floor, this will make a little extra insulation.
5. Now proceed to pour the foundation, after the foundation is poured it is necessary to shake it with a vibrator, by the way, it is necessary to pour at least a height of 8 cm! .After pouring the concrete should be sprayed with water to better grasp. Also it is necessary to make a small slope, so that there was a lot of excess water to flow down.
