Types of the foundation
There are several types of foundation suitable for the construction of fences. The most common:
- tape for fences made of brick, stone and gabions;
- columnar for fences made of profiled sheets, made of wood and metal mesh.
Tape foundation is used if the building is located in a wetland area or in areas with poor soil. This is a simple and durable design with only one drawback - high cost.
The pillar foundation is very convenient, as it is easy to erect and does not incur high costs. Unlike the tape, this foundation can not be built on too soft soils, because it has less strength and will be unstable. This foundation is used for fences with a small mass.

Let's consider in detail what steps should be taken to build a reliable foundation for protecting the local area.
Step 1 Marking the territory of the
Before you build, you need to mark out the territory in advance to know the location of the fence itself. It is quite easy to do this: take a rope or wire and pull between stakes knocked into the ground beforehand. The distance between the stakes is about 3 m.
Step 2 Trench Kopka for the foundation
After this, take the shovel and dig the trench and pits for the supporting pillars. Depth of pits depends on the weight of the fence, usually it is 70 to 140 cm, and the depth of the trench between the pits is up to 45 cm.
Step 3 Installation of the formwork for the foundation for the
fence. After all the previous steps have been completed, formwork is placed on both sides,all the required length, its recommended height is about 14 cm. It is needed to prevent soil shedding, as well as from land penetration into concrete. Putting in the trench the armature in two rows with an approximate diameter of 8 mm, it will be possible to strengthen the strength of the foundation.
Step 4 Installation of

One of the simplest methods is metal pipes of square section, previously cleaned from corrosion, treated with a solvent, which is inserted into the ground to a depth of 1 m. The upper part of the pipe should be closed with plugs, so that the interior does not get precipitated.
Step 5 Concrete for foundation
Without good concrete there will be no normal basis. Racks are leveled below the level, and after the trench and pits are poured with concrete. If you yourself are engaged in the preparation of concrete, then you need to know the recipe for its preparation. Quality concrete mixed in the proportion: 1 serving of cement, 2 portions of sand and 2 portions of gravel.
Everything needs to be loaded into a concrete mixer, where it is well mixed with water and poured into the formwork. If you want a solid foundation without joints, it is better to pour it in one go. There is one problem - part of the water from the concrete mix is taken to the ground. Whatever it is, moisten the soil in the trench.
Before installing the fence, you need to wait 3-4 days. This is necessary for the foundation to fully grasp.
