In a modern washing machine, you can easily wash both linens and children's clothes, as well as silk dresses, wool sweaters, sports clothes or curtains. It is important only to turn on the correct washing mode or select certain functions.

Different models of machines differ in a different list of modes and functions, but some modes are found in almost all devices. They can be selected both in the machines brand Bosch and Zanussi, and in models from Samsung, LG and other manufacturers. They include:

1. Cotton washing. This mode can be called the most common, as you will see it in almost any automatic machine. In this mode, heavily soiled cotton items and bed linens are washed. The spin on this program is set to the maximum number of revolutions that your machine model allows.

3. Hand wash. Such a common mode is chosen for washing clothes, sewn from thin fabrics, requiring careful care. Tulle is often erased on this program. Usually water for hand washing is heated to +300 or +400.The rotation of the drum in this mode is slow and accurate, but there is no spin.
4. Delicatessen washing. Like the previous mode, this washing is indicated for thin fabrics that need gentle handling, but the main difference is the presence in the program of spinning with a small number of revolutions.
5. Wool washing. This program is inherent in most devices and is designed for things made of wool. This mode provides gentle washing with little water heating and no spin.
6. Daily washing. This program is designed for relatively quick( its average duration - from 40 to 60 minutes) to clean not too dirty clothes. Water during this washing is heated to +300 or +400, and the machine is not fully loaded with laundry.
7. Quick wash. The program with a short cycle of washing is present in almost all machines and can be called differently, for example "Super-fast washing", "Fast 15", "Fast 29", "Express 15" and so on. This mode is chosen for lightly soiled clothing, which needs to be washed quickly. The duration of such a program is up to 30 minutes, the water is heated to +300 or +400, and the maximum speed is set for spinning.
8. Intensive washing. The main purpose of this mode is the washing of very dirty clothes. Since it is usual to heat the water on such a program to high temperatures( + 60 + 900 ° C), this washing is not recommended for delicate fabrics. The duration of this program is from 90 to 120 minutes.
9. Prewash. This mode is two consecutive washings, so two dispenses of detergent into different compartments should be covered in the powder dispenser. The program is used for very dirty laundry with stains that are eaten and can not be washed off under normal conditions.

In addition to the standard and most common modes in some models of washing machines, you can find such additional modes:

• Drying. It is possible to dry things only in washing machines, in which this additional mode is provided. Drying can be delicate, which means that the laundry will be shaken slightly during the program to prevent wrinkling. Also in some machines there is a possibility of accelerated drying, however this program is recommended only for drying of heat-resistant materials.
• Economical washing. The main features of this program is a lower water flow and minimal heating, which also causes less electricity consumption. In some machines such a program is called "eco".Washing lasts approximately 50-60 minutes, and water is heated to + 400C.
• Wash in cold water. The program is used for washing fabrics that can be damaged by heat. Typically, this mode is chosen for things that need to be washed by hand or for delicate synthetic materials.
• Washing with soaking. This additional program is designed to remove stains and strong contaminants. Loaded in the machine, the laundry stays in water for a while, and then the wash mode starts at a temperature of + 400 ° C.In total, this wash takes about 60 to 120 minutes.
• Washing of curtains. This mode provides pre-wash and is used for curtains and curtains.
• Washing of jeans. This program erases things from denim and jeans, as well as dark textiles.
• Washing of silk. This program is used for washing clothes made of silk and synthetic blended materials.
• Washing blankets. On this program you can wash blankets and blankets of different types.
• Bio-care. This mode involves the use of detergents with enzymes. As they are destroyed at high temperature, the program sets a lower wash temperature.

For better washing in most washing machines, it is possible to select additional functions, which include:

• Spin. Using this function allows you to separately press the laundry at the speed you need.
• Draining. Application of this function is shown in situations where you need to drain water from the machine, but do not rinse or squeeze the laundry.
• Relaxing ironing. This function, which is present in many machines, will allow you to get not too crumpled laundry after washing. A special feature of the device when this function is activated will be the intermission of the intermediate spin and the use of a slightly larger volume of water for rinsing.
• Half load. Thanks to this function, you can save on washing in situations where there is not too much laundry stored, and you need to wash it urgently. After loading the machine by half with activating this function, the washing time will be shortened.
• Delayed power on. This function is especially valuable for busy people, as it allows you to load laundry and detergent, and start the program for the selected time. Usually this function is used to get washed laundry in the morning or to return from work.
• Rinse hold time. This function is in demand in situations where it is not possible immediately after washing to take things out of the typewriter. Turning on this function will hold water inside the machine until the technician has switched on the drain or spin.
• Additional rinse. When this function is activated, another rinse will be added to your washing mode. Such a function is useful to allergy sufferers or parents of small children, since it will make it possible to better clean clothes of detergent residues.
• Rinse with sink. The separate inclusion of this function allows you to rinse any clothes, and then squeeze it.
• Turn off spin. The use of this function is relevant for things that can be damaged during the spin process. The machine will then skip the spin and finish the program without it.
• Controlling the water level. If you have a similar function and activate it, the device will determine the amount of laundry in the tank, and then fill the tank with water in the right amount, so that water will be consumed more sparingly.
• Protection from children. Turning on this function will prevent the machine from opening during the washing process.

• Zippers and buttons on clothes before washing it should be buttoned.
