We divide the living area with an internal partition of plasterboard

Interior partitions made of drywall allow you to divide the living area into comfort zones.

The redesign of an apartment or a house, using interior partitions, can be carried out in a short period of time.

As they say - without dust and noise.

After all, in the process will be involved in construction material, work with which is available to anyone who wants to transform their own homes with their own hands.

The result of using gypsum cardboard can be seen on the proposed photos, and at the same time evaluate the creativity of beginning designers. Perhaps, it is these photos that will awaken in your imagination the creator.

Design and possibilities of useInterior partitions

An attractive interior partitionplasterboard, harmoniously flow into the interior of any space. For example, it can be used to divide the hall and the hall into zones.

Or re-plan the dressing room, breaking the room into seasonal bases.

Installation of an internal partition in the kitchen, will give you a functional area and a resting place, as in the photo.

Zoning kitchen

In addition, in a certain corner of the kitchen, by installing a drywall partition, you can easily organize a small pantry.

If you remove the internal dividing wall in a small bathroom, you will be able to get more useful space.

In this case, a self-made drywall partition will separate the shower from the toilet.

Since the second door in the bathroom is no longer needed, in their place you can equip a functional niche, using the same universal material - gypsum cardboard.

Design of partitions with smooth lines or precise geometric shapes, as in the photo, combined with illumination, will introduce its innovation into the familiar interior.

In this case, the design of each of the interior partitions installed in the apartment is easy to perform in the original style. Due to what the standard room is transformed beyond recognition.

Interior partitions in the children's room, where there is always a need to change the design of the room for the better, will be very useful.

The gypsum board construction will allow not only to separate the sleeping and playing areas, but also to make a design of partitions, the design of which would include decorative shelves and niches, for toys or books.

A wonderful example can be seen in this photo.

Newly-engraved elements distinguish between the thickness and diverse design of the molds.

Partitions made of gypsum board can be radius, arched or semicircular, solid and with all kinds of openings.

Equipped with sliding doors, decorated with colored glass or mirror inserts. All these nuances can provide any room with a special decorative effect.

The attractiveness of space can be appreciated on the ideas presented above.

Assembly of frame structure for partition

For the construction of the future partition, a metal frame is needed, it is assembled by hand with the use of rack and guide metal profiles, which are subsequently lined with sheets of plasterboard.

In addition, the design provides for the installation of a sliding door, which is also built with their own hands.

The device of the interior partition from sheets of gypsum board will require the use of the following list of materials and tools:

  • profile( rack, rail);
  • laser or water building level;
  • plasterboard for walls - thickness 12,5 mm;
  • insulation;
  • acrylic mastic;
  • plaster filler;
  • rubber sealing tape;
  • sickle;
  • plumb line;
  • measuring tape;
  • hammer;
  • routing trace;
  • self-tapping screws, dowel-nails, perforator.

The rack profile 50x50 will be installed with an interval of 40 cm, does not include the door opening.

The PS installation is usually carried out by hand, with a standard distance of 60 cm, but in this case 40 cm is chosen to make the reinforced structure.

Frame for partitions

The guide profile is used 50x40, taking into account the perimeter of the future partition.

The overall thickness of the structure will be 75 mm, for its erection it is also possible to apply PS - 65х75, 100х40;PN - 100x40, 65x75.

Calculate the number of required material

Calculation of the material is carried out based on the overall dimensions of the partition wall to be mounted.

To make it easier to carry out calculations and subsequent installation of the structure, you can draw a diagram on your own sheet of paper.

In the drawing it is necessary to mark the place of installation of the door and indicate the size of its opening, as well as the places where it will be necessary to mount the rack profiles.

In addition, it is necessary to draw a cutting of plasterboard sheets.

If the height of the ceilings of the room where the installation of the interior partition is being made exceeds the height of the standard drywall sheet( 1200x2500 mm).

It is necessary to make transverse jumpers from PN, and to carry out their installation in the areas of joining the drywall.

PN device for the profiles of the gypsum board partitions

Before constructing the metal frame of the interior partition, mark the working area.

To do this, from the main wall, note the necessary distance - this will be the width of the room, then on the vertical side walls carry vertical lines. Control the strict verticality with the help of a level.

Using a paint line, you must also make marking lines on the floor and on the ceiling.

Before you begin the installation of profiles, you must glue them with your own hands, which will ensure the integrity of the septum.

With the help of the drilling tool and dowel-nails, the frame of the structure is assembled from the guide profiles, which are fixed to the floor and ceiling in accordance with the drawing.

In place of the future door leave a gap, the size of the doorway. On the side walls the rack profile is mounted.

For a full understanding of the workflow, we recommend that you carefully read the proposed photo and video materials.

Forming a doorway for a gypsum board

Next, you need to make a doorway installation. PS and PN profiles are connected to each other, fixed using self-tapping screws.

Having picked up a wooden beam with the necessary size, it is possible to execute by own hands additional strengthening of rack elements. A ready opening is attached to the guides at the bottom and top of the structure.

Next, between the uprights of the opening at the top you need to make a jumper. A transverse element is made from the PN segment. In this case, it must be longer by 200 mm of the door opening width.

Mounting of

rackmount profiles The height of the rackmount profile used is measured 10 mm less than the height of the room. In order to make the construction more robust, the installation of the rack profiles is carried out with a distance of 400 mm.

The rack elements are installed at the bottom and top of the structure in the guides, fixed with screws. Above the opening of the door, additional parts of the rack profile are mounted.

The crosspieces are installed in the same way as for the door of the interior partition door, but in certain areas between the vertical elements of the structure.

Their device will allow for high-quality horizontal joints between product sheets.

The frame of the interior gypsum plasterboard has been completed, now you can proceed to the plating process. Supplement the above will allow the following thematic video.

Interior facing of gypsum board

Plasterboard sheets are mounted on the frame in an upright position, while the basic rules are observed.

First of all, when installing the sheets it is recommended to leave gaps: 1 cm - between the building material and the floor;0,5 cm - between sheets and ceiling;2 mm - at the joints of plasterboard.

In order not to break the strength of the construction of the partition, it is not necessary to make cross-like seams.

Begin the outer side paneling of the partition from left to right, from the back side - inside - it is necessary to carry out the plating from right to left.

This will eliminate the coincidence of the joint vertical seams on one rack.

Taking into account all of the above, first one side of the structure is lined with sheets of gypsum board that are fixed to profiles using 25 mm screws with a distance of 250 mm.

Then the internal space of the constructed partition is filled with sound and heat insulating material, it can be a mineral wool( thickness 50-100 mm).

It if necessary stack in several layers.

To prevent the insulation material from slipping downwards, the design of the partition must be pre-equipped with straight hangers, then with their help lay the heater.

At the final stage, sheets of gypsum board are faced with the inner side of the partition. Using gypsum mixture and reinforcing tape, the butt welds between the products are sealed, as shown in the photo.

To strengthen the external corners of the door opening of the interior partition, reinforcement is used, which is carried out with the help of a corner perforated profile.

The finished surface of the interior partition is treated with a primer, after which a large-scale puttying and finishing of the newly-mended plane is carried out. It remains to equip the structure with a door.

In the end of the article we offer to view the thematic video material.
