Wall plastering tool

Semi-finished - consists of a handle and a cloth. It is better if the canvas is made of softwood. The main purpose of the semitrack is to pre-level the plaster layers.

Grater - designed for mashing the surface. Consists of a cloth and a handle. It should be made of wood and have a canvas size of 15 × 11 cm or 13 × 18 cm. The handle is selected individually according to the size of the hand.

The rule is a rake, which is often made of aluminum. It has a different size, but the popular one is 50-60 mm wide and 150 cm long. Used for testing plaster layers, leveling the mortar on the surface, as well as for rubbing and cutting the husks.

Steel brush - used for preparation and cleaning of the surface. Instead, you can use an ordinary brush with steel bristles or attachments to the drill. Everything depends on the level of contamination of the substrate.

Tools for decorative plaster application

In addition to conventional tools, additional brushes and rollers are needed for decorative finishing. Rollers can be made from completely different materials and have all kinds of shapes. Brushes, also available with a pile of varying rigidity. They come from: natural, synthetic, mixed bristles.

The rollers are selected depending on the depth of the unevenness of the substrate. For example, if the surface is smooth, then you need a roller with a short pile. If, on the contrary, there are many protrusions and depressions, it is important to purchase a roller with a long nap. The rolls are divided into the following categories: popular( for painting works), professional and high-quality.

Which brush for decorative plaster should I choose?

For painting and varnishing the surface using brushes. As already mentioned, they come from natural, synthetic and mixed bristles. Natural bristles provide excellent absorption and retention of paint. It is suitable for all paints, except water.

Synthetic base - more durable and suitable for both water and oil paints. Most often it is made of nylon and polyester. Mixed bristles - combines the qualities of the two previous ones and is used for finishing completely different surfaces.
