To perform the work, the following conditions must be observed:

• The floor must be flat and clean, the finish in the premise finished;

• If the laying of the carpet is carried out in cold weather, then you need to hold it indoors at room temperature for a day;

The carpet is laid using such tools:

• carpet knives - necessary for cutting carpet into strips;
• metal ruler - needed as a guide for cutting;
• notched trowel - needed to apply glue, or remove the old;
• scrapers - with their help remove the remaining glue or solution;
• wooden bar or flipper rake - fastened around the perimeter of the base, and under the slope;
• substrate - needed to create a soft surface;
• kicker - needed to stretch the carpet.

The carpet is laid by own hands in three ways:

1. free laying;
2. on the glue;
3. uses stretching technology.

The first option, most often, is used in those cases when in the near future it is planned to change the interior. Adhesive tape is glued along the entire perimeter.

The floor must be clean, even, you can lay it on linoleum, parquet, marble. Further on it is made a grid of scotch( cell 50x50 cm).

Adhesive method

Provides reliable fastening of the coating, eliminates the possibility of bubbles, wrinkles, can be cleaned with a washing vacuum cleaner. Suitable for large rooms.

At the same time, this technology is very laborious, the floor is prepared with the utmost care, it will not be possible to use carpet for the second time.

The cost of laying the carpet with glue is higher than with the method of free laying. What are the features of this method?

Bonding can be either partial or continuous. When using several strips of carpet we use a continuous method of gluing.

First spread the carpet with the launch on the walls at 5-10 cm, cut off the excess, and cover folded in half. The floor is glued on one side with glue, on which the cover itself is tightened, tightly pressing.

The same way the other side is fixed. After the work is finished, the carpet is stretched once more, leveled, the excess material is cut off and skirting boards are installed.

This method of laying the carpet is best used on a wooden or concrete floor so that the glue can not react with an artificial coating, such as a laminate or linoleum.

Method of tension( stretching)

The floor does not need special preparation, concrete in this case is not suitable: the carnations must be well cut into the surface, like, for example, linoleum or a wooden floor.

Tiled( modular) carpet

Tiled carpeting differs from the usual in that it is cut into tiles in size 50x50 cm, has a more rigid base.

The multilayered fabrication provides good strength and wear resistance. Another feature is that it can be laid on a "warm floor".

Pile is only made of synthetics, which in addition is treated with dirt-repellent and antistatic impregnations. The nap is able to quickly restore the shape after a load.

The tiled carpet has equal edges, which, when laid, fit tightly to each other. This type of coating offers the implementation of various color schemes and design combinations.

Installation of modular carpeting is carried out with the help of glue or free laying. The floor must also be necessarily clean and dry, even.

Tiled carpeting is more expensive than a roll carpet, but it will still be possible to save money due to the fact that surpluses are practically not formed.

Features of laying carpets

On the concrete floor will be properly used carpets made of artificial materials, for example, from olefin, and it will be appropriate to a lint-free carpet.

Concrete has the ability to absorb moisture, carpet, in turn, should resist this, so that mold does not form during operation.

For this reason, do not use carpet on a jute basis.

Carpet is made from natural and synthetic fibers. Coatings made of wool are environmentally friendly, but, unfortunately, impractical and expensive.

They wear out quickly, are afraid of moles, accumulate a statistical charge.

Unlike woolen carpet, synthetic carpet has high resistance to wear, affordable price, easy to clean, does not cause allergies, parasites do not touch it.
