Vertical flower beds with your own hands - what can you think of?

In general, plantings of vertical type can be different, distinguish between ground structures, wall, wall and suspended. Let's consider everything in stages and start with the first two options. The easiest way to build vertical flower beds with their own hands from barrels. It is enough to make horizontal slots, slightly bending out their lower part, fill the barrel with water and you can start sowing flowers or even elite strawberry varieties. In the latter case, of course, the flowerbed will be berry, which means that there will be more benefit from it, and it will decorate the area itself.

Some fruit and berry plants give more yield if grown down by deciduous mass and up roots. For this purpose, a special garden tool is used to grow vegetables down the crown.

A vertical flower garden can be made of automobile tires mounted one on top of the other. To not parted, they are better to pierce through with metal pins, on the sides holes are made-pockets. After filling the resulting capacity with soil, you can plant both curly and branching plants. You can make a design of plastic pots, you just need to take containers of different sizes. In the largest pot set the center of the rod, pour the ground on the resulting axis to plant a smaller pot, also fill with soil and so on. It is desirable that the reinforcement be covered with a thick layer of resin, in order to avoid corrosion.

A flower bed along the wall, two possible variants of

If you want to hide a not so beautifully made economic building, you can make vertical landscaping along its walls. It is not necessary to hang a structure, it is enough that it will be fixed on a vertical surface, while being on the ground. The simplest variant is a flower bed along the wall from one-sided boxes .It is done very simply, you will need two racks of the same length, you can use a bar for them.

The boxes to be used for planting should have one of the long walls at right angles to the bottom, and the second - deflected outwards. Such pockets are fastened one above the other in any amount to the posts, which in turn are fixed to the wall, and from below either buried in the ground or supplied with spacers. Suspended structures can be more versatile. For example, conventional boxes, closed on top of the grid, can be rotated around the horizontal axis.

For this, the suspension is fixed not rigidly, but hinged, or simply use a cable, chain or thick rope. Now you can either support the box in the wall with the board, so that the grid is on top, or turn it by a grid to the side, resting against the wall with the bottom. However, there is an even simpler way to make a vertical flower bed. It is enough to plant plants in plastic flower pots, stuffed on a wooden lattice. The latter can be attached to the wall at any level.

Suspended flower beds as the original solution of

If the whole space of the countryside is used for planting vegetables, in an effort to provide a healthy diet for themselves and their families for the whole year and especially for the winter, there will be no flowers left. However, there are many options for planting ornamental plants, in addition to land. For example, suspended flower beds also have a right to exist. The most primitive variant is the pots. However, even the pot, hooked with cables to the cross bar, does not pull on the flower bed. Some make vertical hanging beds in polyethylene bags, having made holes in them, but this is unreliable, since this material is destroyed by ultraviolet.

The best option - a fine mesh, sewn in the form of a bag, envelope or box. Using instead of the usual soil hydroponics, which does not exactly fall out into the cells after watering, you can grow some not too capricious varieties of flowers, but you can contrive into the grid and pour the soil if you use a foam bag filled in a mesh shell. Suspend flower beds can be pergolas, and from below, like stalagmites under stalactites, cascade beds can be formed, also, in fact, being vertical, as they rise with decreasing ledges upwards.
