Repair of upholstered furniture
From long operation, upholstered furniture becomes unusable, and then it is required to make a constriction, repair of old upholstery, repair of the frame at home.
Choose the material for upholstery should be suitable, for example, velor, gabardine, artificial leather or its imitation.
You also need to choose a foam with a porous and elastic structure, when you press the foam rubber, the dent should be quickly disposed of without leaving a trace.

When repairing the frame, foam rubber is replaced, since dents can not be removed.
If there are leather or rubber belts in the frame, then they need to be carefully inspected, and if the material has lost elasticity, cracks and tears appear on it, they must be replaced.
All joints of the frame are disassembled, cleaned, glued and fixed. Joints should be tightened by clamps for the time of setting the glue.
If the wood is severely damaged in the locations of the fastening screws, then new holes must be drilled 2 cm from the old holes.
On the old holes must be put stubs and put on them putty. Uneven edges of the frame should be ground. When the frame is repaired, you can proceed to the cutting of the new upholstery.
The old upholstery can be used as a template, for this you need to lay it on a new fabric and circle the contours taking into account the allowance of 2-3 cm. Then the upholstery needs to be cut.
You need to start the constriction with the foam rubber, which is fixed with glue. The glue is applied to the corners and the center of the element. Foam can be cut just like the upholstery, only without an allowance.
After the glue has dried, the new upholstery is fixed on a wooden or plywood base in the center of one side, using 2-3 staples, as in the photo above.
After this, the workpiece is turned over, and the fabric is fastened with fixation by several fasteners. Then the padding is attached to the entire side, not reaching 3-5 cm to the edges, an example in the photo.
On the other sides the upholstery is fixed in the same way. Angles are fixed at the end.
When the constriction is completed, the assembly must be assembled in the order opposite to the dismantling. The process of constriction is recommended to look at the video and photos.
Often required to repair leather furniture. The first way is to paint with compound. First, the upholstery is cleaned and degreased: it is washed with a soap solution and rubbed with alcohol.
After drying the surface, the compound is sprayed and distributed with a soft cloth soaked in warm water.
After drying out the leather upholstery, the surface is polished with a small sandpaper or cotton pad. Then apply the primer of the desired color. This method is suitable for furniture from leatherette.
Repair of leather furniture and furniture from kozhzama can be done with liquid skin. This method is used for rupture of skin or leatherette.

Repair of kitchen furniture

If the table top is varnished, then when scratching or abrasions appear on it, as in the photo, they can be removed in the following way: the tissue swab is moistened with alcohol and linseed oil mixed in a 1: 1 ratio.
The tampon needs to be cleaned with a damaged area and then polished with a felt cloth.
If the scratches are very deep, for example, as in the photo, then the varnish is chosen in the color of the polished surface, which is applied to the defect zone, after which the site is polished.
If there is a stain on the table top from hot dishes, then it can be removed by wiping the area with a swab impregnated with alcohol.
If this method does not help, then it is recommended to polish the stain with a mixture of alcohol and linseed oil. Then the surface is again treated with alcohol and polished.
When the damage to the varnish is very serious, then a special wash is used, which is used as follows.
Scratches are applied to the varnished surface in the form of a grid in the form of squares with a side of 1.5 cm.
After this, it is required to apply a smooth wash and cover the area with paraffined paper. Wait a while and remove the varnish with a spatula.
Clean the cleaned surface with a solvent and dry it. After complete drying, sanding and varnishing is carried out.

Consider the repair of kitchen furniture from chipboard. If chips are formed on the chipboard furniture, then first the defect is processed by the chisel, so that the edges are straight.
Then, a solid wax of the right color is selected, which is melted and applied to the cleavage site. After drying, the excess wax is removed, and the site is ground with a felt cloth.
Now you need to restore the chipboard texture. To do this, a retouched pen is used, which lines are applied.
It is recommended to wipe the lines with a napkin, creating a fuzzy border. Then the area is covered with varnish.
You can remove scratches on the chipboard with a soft wax, which is applied to the defect with a spatula, then the texture of the chipboard is finished with a felt-tip pen. In the end, the area is covered with varnish.
Remove from the chipboard abrasions easily. To do this, you will need a microfibre cloth moistened with a suitable colored felt-tip pen.

Cracks with DSP are eliminated by a syringe filled with PVA glue, which is completely inserted into the crack. After this, you need to put the clamp on and leave the furniture for 48 hours, waiting for the complete drying.

Wood veneering can occur on wooden furniture. The defect is rectified by heating the site and applying a slight pressure to the defect.
If you need to replace the damaged veneer on wooden furniture, then you need to make a patch that must match the color of the furniture.
A small area is cut out at the damage site of the veneer, and the patch is applied to this place and fixed with adhesive paper.
Then you need to smooth the joints. Finally, the surface of the wood is covered with wax or varnish.
