Facing tiles for facades - types and their quality

As an external finish, quite a lot of materials are used, however, if you need facing tiles for facades, the choice will be rather poor - clinker, natural stone and artificial. Moreover, if everything is clear about the second and third variants - a stone, even man-made, will look appropriately, then the cladding of the facade of the house with clinker tiles is more diverse. In particular, it can simulate both stone and brick, not to mention the large-format elements, after finishing with which the wall is as if laid out of large building blocks.

Clinker is a material obtained from refractory clays by extrusion, that is, with the participation of the so-called "liquid phase", during which the tile is formed before firing.

With clinker, you can achieve the most unexpected effects. For example, a standard house built from domestic materials, erected among Slavic patriarchal landscapes, can suddenly turn into an English villa. Using a different type of tile, you get a real German mansion, decorated under a half-timbered house. You can achieve a retro style, or finish the house in the modern high-tech direction.

How is clinker facing facade tiles used?

As the clay made from clay is akin to conventional ceramics, it is an environmentally friendly material and does not emit any harmful substances. At the same time, due to the technical characteristics of the firing, the material becomes completely waterproof, with an extremely low moisture absorption threshold( less than 2%). The clinker is not affected by sudden temperature changes, when the scale often passes the zero mark, passing from plus to minus and back .

If you combine a facade tile with a heater, it is better to use the German profiled thermal insulation made of expanded polystyrene, the grooves for the clinker are pre-made in it. In general, this material can be laid not only on concrete or brick walls, but also on a tree, which means that the house of the timber, if desired, can be cut to the stone according to the level of the base. This option can be used with frequent and heavy precipitation in the region, when the damp from the ground can affect the lower walls of the walls. On top of ordinary heat insulation panels, facade tiles can be faced with a reinforcing layer.

Facing the facades with tiles with thermal insulation

To date, many people use ordinary foam as thermal insulation, often the choice falls on mineral wool, but why do double work, first warming, then tiling? Modern technologies have reached the point where in one material the facing tiles with the insulation for the facade were united, resulting in the thermopanels. In fact, these are the same thermal insulation panels made of polyurethane foam, but on top they are covered with a strong shell of baked molded clay. In other words, the top layer consists of clinker.

Of course, when using this material, the choice of insulation is sharply tapered, more precisely, there is none at all, but at the same time you halve the time that is necessary for wall finishing. The tiling of the facades is no longer a separate stage. In addition, when stacking material, you can be sure beforehand that the lower layer is completely protected from moisture, as each panel undergoes a thorough check on the suitability for operation. Such cladding is fastened with the help of plastic dowels, the joints are made by connecting longitudinal locks, which gives no gaps, at the corner special types of panels, corner are fixed.
