Step 1. Choose a place for the compost box
In addition to the fact that the pit, box or heap should occupy a certain place, it should be understood that the compost being prepared does not smell the most pleasant for the human sense of smell. Therefore, try to place the pit away from residential buildings and rest places, and also take into account the prevailing wind direction.
Step 2. Create the construction project
It is important that it is user-friendly, relatively good looking and could be easily disassembled after filling.
Step 3. We start preparing the materials
Of course, you can purchase materials, but very many warehouses and enterprises have used pallets( pallets), consisting of a board-shalovki. They can be bought for pennies, and even completely take away for free.
The preparatory work includes the dismantling of pallets on the components of the board.
Step 4. Cutting the
boards The best way to do this is to use a circular machine, but you can handle both the jigsaw and the usual hacksaw. Planks from pallets need to be cut into pieces of the right size of 1 meter long - they will become the main material for assembling the compost pit with their own hands.
Step 5. Correctly form the workpiece
The boards for the compost heap must be cut in such a way that they are easily assembled and disassembled. To do this, jigsaw cut holes for the institution of cross planks. The illustrations of the master class show in detail at what angle and how to make all the cuts correctly, so that the space for the compost heap would be assembled by hand into the overall construction without much effort.
Step 6. Assemble the
Drawer Assemble the three sides of the compost box. The correct fencing device assumes that these boards need to be installed vertically, fixing the connections with mounting glue. The silo pile arrangement assumes the possibility of dismantling one of the sides for easy extraction of the finished compost. Therefore, the fourth side we do differently: we lay the boards at an angle and do not smear with glue. In this case, the box can be easily disassembled.
Step 7. Installing the composting device
In order for the structure to be stable, choose an even section at your dacha. The box needs to be set according to the level, and then it will steadily serve for more than one year.
