How to remove odor by improvised means?
In the fight against unpleasant odors, mistresses use not only antiseptics and cleaning products, but also proven folk recipes. We want to share with you simple ways to eliminate the fetid odors coming from the washing machine.
Required accessories:
- soft cloth or sponge;
- dishwashing detergent;
- toothbrush;
- laundry detergent;
- whitening agent;
- baking soda;
- solution of acetic acid;
- if necessary - a special cleaning agent.
Perhaps the cause of an unpleasant smell is insufficient maintenance of the washing machine. In this case, it is necessary to conduct hygienic treatment of all available elements of the styrant:
- Open the door and wash it thoroughly on both sides with a dishwashing detergent. Clean the gaps and joints with a toothbrush and detergent.
- Remove the detergent dispenser, rinse it under running water and dry.
- Pour one serving of detergent into the feeder and run the washing cycle without loading laundry. Choose a high temperature - at least 90 degrees.

One of the most common causes of an unpleasant smell is the appearance of mold and fungus on the rubber and plastic parts of the washing machine. If treatment with antifungal and antiseptic agents does not yield results, these elements will have to be replaced.
Replacing the rubber cuff
First you need to dismantle the worn out part. We release it from two clamps - plastic and metal. After the first collar is removed( using a screwdriver), we release the outer part of the cuff, first applying the marks on which we will fasten the new part.
After the old surface has been disassembled, it is necessary to clean and degrease the fastening site. Then we put on the edge of the tank a new cuff. Replacing the drain hose
