Let's see, what is this beast?

Liquid foam plastic in cylinders is very light, economical, noise and heat-insulating, durable material for construction works, and even simple enough in the installation. If you use this foam, no additional vapor barrier is required.

They are insulated with walls, roofs and floors of residential and construction buildings. It is manufactured in a special installation directly on the construction site. It is poured into hollow structures or into a prepared formwork. The ten-centimeter layer of this heat-protective material replaces the thickness of the foam plastic equal to 30 cm, minivates - 20 cm, brickwork - 2.5 m, concrete - 2.97 m.

Polyfoam in cylinders has the following properties:

  • durability;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • fire safety;
  • is resistant to microorganisms and organic solvents;
  • the ability to prevent the spread of rodents and insects.

Everything is known in comparison - we will test the liquid foam

This heat-insulating material has the best value for money. In addition, with its help it is possible to insulate the already constructed walls and at the same time not to change the structure. Also it has advantages over other heaters:

  • excellent thermal insulation properties;
  • is highly adaptable;
  • service life of more than 50 years;
  • wide operating temperature range;
  • low price;
  • is not flammable;
  • good sound insulation;
  • has a high density;
  • does not leave blank areas;

The drawbacks of this material are:

  • linear shrinkage up to 5% when pouring without pressure( on horizontal surfaces);
  • an unpleasant smell of formaldehyde, but it eventually passes.

Feature of the use of liquid foam

Despite the large selection of modern materials, thermal insulation with casting foam is in demand. A huge advantage is that the insulated surface does not require preparation. The foam production plant and raw materials are delivered to the construction site by a machine. Only access to electricity and water is required on site.

For material filling, a 30 mm hose is required. With it, you can pour foam into hard-to-reach places. This ensures high-quality dense insulation. It can also be applied to an insulated surface.

Warming of walls with liquid foam can be done on any surface, and this will not affect the quality. It is also convenient to use this insulation to fill the plane of irregular geometry.

Warming of houses with foam plastic liquid is made by pouring it into the gap between the outer and inner walls. There are three ways to apply this technology to the walls.

  1. Pouring in the inter-wall clearance of an existing house. This is done if between the outer and inner walls there is an air space of at least 3-5 cm. In the wall holes are formed, with a diameter of 32 mm, in staggered order. The distances between them should be approximately 1-2 m. Then, under pressure, foam the foam into each hole until the material appears in the adjacent hole.
  2. Filling in the space between the walls of a house under construction. For this, the material is poured in layers. Layers should be no more than 3 m.
  3. Filling between the wall and the wall. A false wall may be a wall made of corrugated board, plasterboard, plastic, siding, etc. It is also possible to insulate frame houses.
