Sauna types

The sauna can be installed in the apartment: mini-sauna, infrared and Finnish.

The mini sauna differs in its compact size. It can be a cedar barrel or built-in cabins with a steam generator. The steam cabin is equipped with a seating area.

Infrared sauna features a special infrared heater.

The construction of the steam room starts with choosing the location. When choosing it is recommended that the sauna in the apartment is tied to four or at least three walls.

In extreme cases, you can use a single load-bearing wall. If the load-bearing wall goes out into the street, condensation will form in the cold season, so leave room for ventilation between the wall of the room and the wall of the structure.

Most often the steam room is placed in the bathroom, of course, if the bathroom size permits.

Construction of the sauna begins with the preparation of materials:

For the frame, you first need to determine the dimensions of the sauna. Dimensions are selected at their own discretion, but the optimal size of a sauna for an adult is 2х0.7 m.

Then, according to the dimensions, a frame is made from a bar. Concrete walls need to be treated with a disinfectant and attached to them by a frame. Frame bars should be well pressed against the wall and fastened on five levels.

The first level at a height of 3 cm from the floor, the second - 60 cm, the third - 1 m. The fifth level is located 5 cm from the ceiling, and the fourth - exactly in the middle between the third and fifth level.

Now you need to lay a layer of insulation on the frame, for example, mineral wool, and the top of the mineral wool is covered with heat-reflecting foil. The frame is attached to previously made holes through the heater.

Manufacturing of a skeleton for a ceiling can be made from wide boards with a step of 70 see. The ceiling too needs to be warmed minivat in 2-3 layers.

Around the intake and exhaust ventilation holes you need to make frames from the bar.

The skin is now done. The ideal option for plating is wood: linden, aspen, abashi. You need to choose wood of the same breed, blending is not recommended.

The next step is to install the oven. It is recommended to electric oven from the manufacturer, and not made by own hands.

Scandinavian manufacturers produce high quality products, therefore installation of Scandinavian furnaces is recommended.

The electric oven provides maximum safety, does not require fuel and chimneys and quickly heats the sauna. It is better to install a low-power oven, which is sufficient for a network of 220 V.

Having installed the oven, you can proceed to equipping the sauna, that is, you need to install sunbeds, benches for seating, lamps.

The support for sun loungers should be fixed on three walls, and if necessary, you need to install a vertical support with an emphasis in the floor.

Sunbeds are laid with boards not less than 80 cm wide and at least 2 cm thick. The boards are laid in two rows: in the longitudinal and transverse directions.

The width of the lounger should be at least 70 cm, the bench can be smaller.

If a Finnish sauna provides for the installation of a shower cabin, you can invite a specialist for a quality connection.

Construction is completed by installing a door made of heat-resistant glass, which must open outwards. Locks on the door should be absent. The door is fastened to the silicone sealant.

Now in the far corner of the oven you need to make ventilation. And in the end, you need to install the fixtures.

The construction of the sauna in the apartment can be done in one more way, for which you need wooden bars with a section of 40x60 cm, aspen and pine lining, board for lining, wood for sun loungers.

First of the U-shaped profiles, you need to assemble the frame and fasten it with screws. The horizontal level must be checked by the building level.

Then on the base you need to install the panels and secure them with screws. The upper parts of the panel, which act as walls, are joined by steel corners.

On the outside of the wall are lined with a lining, and from the inside - a heat insulation material is attached to them, and a board is attached to it. Then, to the walls, you need to attach the support bars, on which the sun beds are installed.
