So, to build an economical simple bar counter that can replace a table for a small family or increase the working area, you will need:

• edged board with a minimum thickness of 25x300 mm;
• timber 50x100 mm;
• angled furniture fixtures;
• self-tapping screws;
• putty on wood;
• furniture film or varnish;
• worktop or worktop board with a thickness of 40 mm;
• pole, chain, stand for glasses or fruit - if desired.

Step-by-step instruction:

1. Draw a sketch of the future rack taking into account the growth of the tenants of the house. As a rule, the stand, replacing the table or extending the working surface, is obtained by a height of 90 cm. It should be taken into account that the cumbersome pedestal is too heavy for the interior of the living room combined with the kitchen.
2. We make measurements and apply marks to the wall and floor.
3. We measure and prepare boards of the required size. It is most convenient to order a sawing where the boards were purchased.
4. From the timber we build a stable frame and we cover it with boards.

   

5. Traces of screws and joints are patched in the tone of the wood.
6. With the help of screws it is possible to install a wooden countertop or special fasteners - stone, plastic, etc.
7. With the furniture corners, one edge of the shelf above the bar counter is mounted to the wall. On the other end, a chain, a pole or other functional decorative elements are placed to fix this edge.

   

   

8. Bottom to the shelf we fix the holder for glasses - two wooden blocks 10x10 or 10x20 mm fixed at a short distance from the shelf with bolts so that the leg of the glass passes between them, and its foot is held by the bars.

   

   

9. All wooden surfaces are treated with several even layers of varnish. Tumba-basis can be pasted with a furniture film. Bar rack is ready!
