Get together with friends in a cozy gazebo and taste fresh, juicy kebabs - the best weekend scenario and you will not come up with it! To make this pastime even more comfortable, you can build a stove in the gazebo that will fire a shish kebab, and let you admire the appearance of an open fire, without disturbing your guests with smoke.

What do you need to build a stove in a gazebo?

First, you need a gazebo of sufficient area, about a polycarbonate gazebo read here. The floor for installing the oven in the gazebo should be on a solid foundation, if it is not, you will need to remove the cover from the part where the furnace will stand and make the concrete pouring. Also, you need a red solid brick, a mortar for masonry, sheet metal for the hood and pipe. The pipe can be bought ready, and in the kit there is a headband that will protect it from rain and snow.

In addition, you will need a sheet metal with a thickness of 3 mm for the production of a coal pallet, a grate for barbecue, tiles or granite for flooring, and a finished tabletop cut to size. In advance, buy two types of sealant - heat-resistant to seal the hood and pipes and waterproof silicone for the countertop.

Foundation device

The dimensions of the foundation are determined by the size of the furnace. For a stove-barbecue with a countertop it is enough to make a foundation measuring 1.5x2 meters. According to this size, dig a pit 30 cm deep, level the bottom and fill it with a layer of coarse-grained sand, which must be watered and carefully tampered. You can do this by the end side of a log. On the perimeter install a timbering of boards 20 cm wide, fastening them to self-tapping screws.

Formwork is installed in the pit on the construction level, laid reinforcing mesh and poured with concrete. Concrete can be bought ready or made independently of cement, sand, gravel and water in a proportion of 1: 4: 4: 4.The reinforcement must be completely drowned in concrete, and the solution "pierce" - pierce in several places to remove air, and then align its mirror. Curing of concrete lasts from a week to three.

Masonry of the furnace

The laying of the furnace is carried out in half a brick, that is, the thickness of its wall will be equal to the width of the brick. To smoothly put the first row, you need to mark the outline of the future stove with the help of stretched cords before the beginning of the masonry - they are conveniently tied to the fittings stuck into the earth outside the formwork. The oven must be leveled on the back of the formwork, so that there is still a space in front of it, which later will have to be laid out with tiles. This will create additional fire safety. Prepare the solution according to any of the recipes:

  • red clay, sand, cement in a proportion of 2: 3: 1;
  • cement, sand, glue for ceramic granite in the proportion of 5: 7: 2.

The clay must be soaked in water for 1-2 days before the solution is prepared, then mix thoroughly, remove foreign inclusions, mix with sand and finally with cement.

Mortar with glue for porcelain stoneware is prepared as usual cement: all dry ingredients are mixed and added to the desired consistency. The solution should not drain off the trowel, but move away from it at an angle of inclination of approximately 45 degrees.

The masonry is carried in the form of the letter "Ш", one of the resulting sections will act as a furnace, and the other - a desktop. The solution is placed on the formwork along the tensioned cords, leveled, the brick is laid on top, its horizontal level is checked with the help of a level and gently pricked with a hammer. When laying the next brick, the solution is applied to its end part for better adhesion to the previous brick.

This process requires some skill, but it is not as complex as it might seem. The brick is first gently taped at the place of the split on both sides, and then, using an accurate blow directly to its center, split in half, chipped away.

The seventh, eighth and ninth rows are again placed in the usual way. The tenth - according to the scheme of the sixth, creating one more ledge. Again three rows of ordinary masonry, and the fourteenth - with protrusions. The fifteenth row completes that half of the oven, which is set aside under the table.

Half for the barbecue continue to be laid, alternating the even and odd rows. The height of the masonry should provide convenience, but do not make it too high - there will be no traction. In order to make the furnace arch, perform the next row with a ledge. On the ledge in the front part of the arch, two metal corners are fixed at a distance of 25 cm - they will be laid with a torch row forming the front arch of the furnace. For the rear arch, one corner at a distance of 13 cm from the back wall is sufficient. The rear arch is also laid with sparse brickwork, laying a brick on the previous row and a corner.

Desk decoration

The table top is easier to order ready-to-size. It is placed on the upper protruding row of the working table, necessarily carefully piercing the joints with silicone sealant. In the countertop you can install a sink or simply use it as a desktop.

You can make the countertop yourself. For this purpose, on the protruding rows of bricks, put slabs of suitable size, plaster with cement mortar, and from above trim it with tiles, ceramic granite or decorative stone. Such a table top will not be afraid of water, no frost, no hot dishes.

Drip tray and grate

The pallet is welded from sheet metal. Dimensions should correspond to the internal area of the furnace, the height of the walls - from 10 to 15 cm. The front part of the pallet is better to make a perforated for better convection of air. Removable pallet is more convenient for cleaning and cleaning. Install it on the lowest ledge. You will have two free protrusions. On the middle ledge, a grill for barbecue or shish kebab is installed, and the upper one is used to install a smokehouse.

Extractor and pipe

Extractor, like a pipe, you can buy ready, or make it yourself from sheet metal by welding or riveting. The hood can be painted with heat-resistant paint. Clearances between the oven and the hood must be treated with a heat-resistant sealant.

The pipe through the ceiling and the roof of the arbor is guided through a fire-proof penetration, isolated with non-combustible material. The pipe should be put on the head. This element is needed not only for the beauty and protection from the rain, but also for creating the right traction.

Finishing work

The floor in front of the stove needs to be laid out with a fireproof and non-slip material, for example, porcelain stoneware. For laying ceramic granite special glue is required, which is sold as a dry mix. The stove itself can be left without decoration, only walk along its surface with a grinder to remove the remnants of the solution, and then rinse with a stiff brush. You can decorate it with a decorative stone or brick, giving it the desired look and completing the interior of your summerhouse.
