Technology of application of polyurethane varnish

Before beginning the procedure for coating a wooden surface, prepare it in the proper way:

• sand and clean from contaminants. If necessary, treat with synthetic impregnation, which will prevent the further appearance of fungus and mold;
• apply varnish with a brush, roller or spray. It is important that the instrument you are using moves along the fibers of the tree. If you use a two-component varnish, then mix it strictly as indicated in the instructions. Otherwise, the composition will be either too viscous or liquid, which will significantly slow down the process of its solidification, or, conversely, the varnish will harden even while working;
• polyurethane floor paint apply at least two layers. After letting dry the first layer, pat it with sandpaper. Then apply a second coat. The finish coat should dry for 8 hours.

Application of water-based polyurethane lacquer

It is better to work with polyurethane varnish at an ambient temperature of 20-23 ° C. The temperature is +13 and +30 ° C undesirable. But in conditions of high humidity, the film will dry longer. The ideal humidity of the environment is 55-60%.

3. Mixture very quickly hardens, therefore it is necessary to work with liquid floor promptly.
4. A fresh coating may have an unpleasant chemical odor, but after a couple of hours it will completely disappear.

Tips for working with polyurethane lacquer:

1. Specialists recommend thoroughly cleaning the treated surfaces from dirt and grease before starting work, otherwise the coating will not simply lie on the dirty surface.
2. To the varnish is not frozen during operation, stir it and shake the container with the mixture.
3. Apply a thin layer of coating. And the best and quickest way to do this is with a paint sprayer.
4. In order not to spoil expensive furniture or a product, first test the polyurethane lacquer on any other surface.
